Re: Building in Cranbourne East-Mayfield (Simonds Homes-Huds 102Oct 01, 2016 1:21 am We now have been wrapped, wiring is in. All windows are in, all doors except our front door and 2 large sliding doors. Roof tiling almost complete And our bricks have been delivered!! It's all still moving fast; looks like we are ahead of schedule at this stage but it will all depend on the weather of the next few weeks How long do the bricks normally take?? Re: Building in Cranbourne East-Mayfield (Simonds Homes-Huds 103Oct 01, 2016 10:18 am Depends on your bricky. Could be 2 days (literally, the simonds build across from us only took two days) or coud be 2 weeks like ours 😉(not complaining he is doing a great job & internal work has continued as he bricks) Its great seeing the colours come together hey ☺ Re: Building in Cranbourne East-Mayfield (Simonds Homes-Huds 104Oct 01, 2016 10:22 am Oh wow that fast! I'm more then happy for them to take 2 weeks. Happy with just a good job When you say internal work do you mean like plaster ect? Our mysimonds says this stage ( bricks, wrap, tiles, gutters) will take until the 24th of October at the moment!! Think we are defiantly going to be ahead of time. It gets more exciting each stage Re: Building in Cranbourne East-Mayfield (Simonds Homes-Huds 105Oct 01, 2016 9:08 pm Yep all of our plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical wiring, gas lines, solar, insulatuon and plaster have been put in while the bricks are being laid. They dont muck around. Re: Building in Cranbourne East-Mayfield (Simonds Homes-Huds 106Oct 01, 2016 9:16 pm Oh far out! Its looking great hopefully its a bit of an optical illusion with the room sizes we felt the same at times, everything seems to grow and shrink and grow again. Keep us posted!! Re: Building in Cranbourne East-Mayfield (Simonds Homes-Huds 110Oct 11, 2016 6:20 pm It's moving so quickly now Unfortunately I wish it was an optical illusion the rooms actually look bigger then we thought but the tape measure says otherwise they have messed up the sizes; made some smaller and other rooms bigger Will find out exactly on Thursday.
