It will be nice to see it starting to come together although a little nervous about what Darbecca will find at each inspection. Now we wait. Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 128Feb 09, 2017 10:47 am We just signed the quotation for a Waldorf Grange and chose the Sterling facade. From Feb onwards, PD updated their process: tender first and then WOS. So we will be following the new process. I was wondering what would be the implications of this swap and if there is something we should look out for. Anyone has an opinion? Much appreciated. Interesting that they have swapped the order with tender and WOS. At tender I'm sure we had to make another payment, a percentage of the total house price. That amount would be lower if you haven't made any WOS selections at that point. Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 130Feb 09, 2017 10:05 pm Eden Brae does the tender and the tiles, colours, bricks etc selections are afterwards. Is that a branch of Porter Davis in another state? Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 132Feb 11, 2017 10:00 am Payment wise, yes, 3% at tender and 2% at contract. And you are right Waldorf_Grange_Build that the WOS costs might be excluded for the tender's 3%. Other than that, do we see any other major implications or impact? We are building with Eden Brae and it is the Waldorf . http://www.edenbraehomes.com.au/home-designs/waldorf/ Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 135Feb 15, 2017 7:11 pm Obi.Wan Payment wise, yes, 3% at tender and 2% at contract. Only that some people may pull the pin after WOS once they see what is NOT included and the indicative prices of upgrades. If you've had tender and given 3% already it would be harder to walk away. If you have some in the budget for upgrades this might not be an issue. Re: Building the Waldorf Grange by Porter Davis 137Feb 28, 2017 7:42 pm Got a call today from the council. There is confusion over the retaining wall on our drawings so we STILL don't have the approval through to go to site start. The council sent us the drawings back with the retaining wall crossed out. Our building coordinator will be contacting them in the morning to try and clarify.
