I'm thinking shutters as well for windows on our front facade but have no idea which is better, longer lasting, easier to maintain etc. We have dark timber venetians in our current house and they are a nightmare to keep clean. I actually gave up years ago trying to dust them Hopefully white shutters are not as bad! So we are meeting with our site supervisor on site Tuesday to ensure we are happy with all the defects being rectified and then we set a date for handover. I have had confirmation from our building co-ordinator that they have agreed to my proposal to take the liquidated damages (compensation for going over contract) from our final invoice rather than what they normally do, make clients pay the full invoice and then organise a refund for the liquidated damages.
