Re: First Home Build - Carlisle Homes - Matisse 33 - Clyde V 9May 31, 2016 2:25 pm STAINLESS Thanks JNT_New Build Pretty excited with the upgrades also Will eventually add all the rest to the OP, just put some of the bigger ones for now. R2.0 is the thermal value of the batts. It can reduce the noise by up to 75%. The rental we are in now, you can hear a pin drop from the other end of the house. Had never really considered sound proofing till we moved in here. But having the home theatre, a games/rumpus room and activity room for the rugrats, it seems like a very worthy investment to do the entire house Thanks for the clarification. I am gonna get them for my home theatre room. I like noise...kekeke....I want to know what my kids are up to so only for the Home Theatre room... LOL Re: First Home Build - Carlisle Homes - Matisse 33 - Clyde V 10Jun 01, 2016 7:34 am strawbola We weren't far away from choosing this design and builder. Loving the upgrades you've chosen. Hope all goes well and we will be following Thanks thech_nerd hello Stainless, Congratulations on the new home what were the reasons for you to choose Carlisle over others? we are looking at the exactly the same house but small version as our block cant fit the bigger house in .upgrades that carlilse have pretty good compared to the other builders specially with the current promotion. we are trying to lock this down before they take the promotion away. loving ur upgrades specially that nook thing in master. do you mind telling how much it costed to do it? I pretty much looked at every floor plan on the internet shortlisting the ones that ticked the right boxes. 4 Beds + -Theater, or a room that could convert to theater. -Rumpus, to be used as games room. -Activity, for the kids, convert to study when they get older. -Side Alfresco I really am a fan of this style Alfresco, because of the pillarless doors, when you open them up the outside really does become part of the inside, and vice versa. Rather than just an alfresco tacked on to the back of the house. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ And i LOVE this, will be aiming to do something similar This pretty much narrowed it down to only 1 house, then reading some customer reviews about Carlisle homes and visiting the Matisse on display in Clyde and finding a package on a 576sqm block at a great price, it was a pretty easy choice. The price for the nook in master suite, I will have to ask as it has been hidden in the fixed package price. That has changed so much i have lost track. It's funny, i would not have thought about doing that until I was told I could not have that facade. Now the change is there I would not be happy to go back. I mentioned that it is one of those upgrades i had to have, and would definitely be crossing this house off the list if i could not have them. They still honored the original quote. It's an expensive upgrade because apparently they need to reinforce the roof with steel beams. To be honest, if we were quoted $8k at the start i still would have gone with them.
