Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 222Sep 05, 2016 12:50 pm My experience with aboriginal heritage is a check to see if they have a cultural stake in the land you are planning to build on. It is another box that needs to be ticked before the application and process of building can proceed. sekisui build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75060&p=1573965#p1573965 Building a sekisui house in Holmesville NSW viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75060 Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 223Sep 05, 2016 12:51 pm I believe, on notification means the application has been sent to the concerned people (may be a neighbour or some other department which should to be notified of any development in your estate).. Charli is in similar stage with her approval. cheers, Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 224Sep 05, 2016 12:54 pm Its something Williams has to do, look in the documents section and it will show a copy of the letter. 19.10.16 is the date they have set for it to be approved.. this can change though, depending on how long it takes you to submit the aboriginal heritage thing. _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 225Sep 05, 2016 1:09 pm Ok guys, thanks. Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Council 229Sep 05, 2016 1:29 pm How much does council suck
With the Aboriginal Heritage, it's only to tick a box really, do you know if there your area holds any significance like a war path or migrating path? It's usually places like this that could contain artefacts. Today our DA says more info requested Fingers crossed we are both out of council ASAP!! Im guessing because of the proximity to the butterfly caves. PS the waiting is torture!!! _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 231Sep 05, 2016 1:43 pm Yeah the Aboriginal Heritage thing would probably have something to do with the butterfly caves. It's a sacred site somewhere around stage 7 or 9 I think, I know that there was some upset because earth works could potential cause damage to it because the stage ends within like 50m from the cave. But that is over the other side of the estate, well away from our block. Hopefully it isn't an issue because there are already a few people on our street that have started including Ryalls and our next door neighbour. I had a look and saw the letter about the notification. I don't think I'll have anything to worry about with that because the 2 behind us are owned by the developer, so they shouldn't have any problem with us building on the land they sold us. And the other two are our neighbours on either side. One is already building and other is in council so surely they wouldn't have a problem either. Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 232Sep 05, 2016 1:55 pm Apparently everyone has the aboriginal heritage check, we did aswell. The guy at council I spoke to said it holds everything up. Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 233Sep 05, 2016 1:57 pm Cheers KLB. I need a holiday haha, someone let me know when my build actually starts and then I'll get motivated again. Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 234Sep 05, 2016 2:24 pm Ryalls I would suggest you remove the address from the screen shot (If it is your new house address). It is suggested by the admin because some low life is crawling through the posts and find builds with address then go and steal building materials. Re: Williams Designer Homes build in West Wallsend NSW - Cou 235Sep 05, 2016 2:30 pm Good point Reg, Ryalls you don't need any more stuff nicked. It says that "Initial Assessment" is estimated to happened tomorrow. I guess we'll just see how that all goes. The part I can't understand is why the council notified the owners of the two blocks behind ours, which is the developer. I kind of understanding them notifying the two either side because they have already gone through council but we weren't notified when they went through. I don't get it, I just want to get started. Also had a call from the admin lady from Williams. She needed to check that the stumps had been removed completely when the tree guy removed the trees. As far as I'm aware they are gone, you can't see them ground into the block and we confirmed multiple times with the guy that the stumps would be completely removed. I'm hoping that there isn't any issue and that she was just confirming.
