The brickie is working on his own and has also had to do sections that didn't have Windows. I found the Windows which were classed as Merino(similar to paperbark is slightly darker than our facia. Didn't even consider the paint on the inside walls matching the Windows, I'm now having second thoughts... Wall colour is basic instinct, which has a slight pinky look here's a sample of the two.. I wouldn't worry to much about the paint. My Windows are monument but inside is Iron Age half strength - dark grey basically with lexicon window frames and trims. I'm liking the colour choices with those bricks and roof etc. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 Re: Building with GJGARDNER 37Sep 15, 2016 9:05 am [quote="fiat10"]Hi Kazza, any updates for you?? Hi Fiat, not much happening since last post, brickie has gone on holidays for a week so still a small section at the back of the house not finished. Windows have been put in but are a nightmare, they're scratched, dinted and bent out of shape. They were inspected yesterday so hopefully hear back what's going to be done. Very disappointing. We also had a lot of rain and have no temporary down pipe, so it's one big boggy mess around the house. Bathrooms and laundry are suppose to be fitted out today. Bricks washed and verandah put on next week. We finally have a neighbour building up the road and it's very interesting Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ to see how clean and well run the other company's site is. Re: Building with GJGARDNER 39Sep 17, 2016 10:17 am That is terrible about the Windows. I can't believe they still installed them when they looked like that! I understand about clean, I was watching a friend's build started a week after mine (and they are in now grrrr) with a different builder and their site was always clean and tidy - mine only just had a clean but most of the time was a mess. ~Shellby~ GJ Bridgewater 203 11/3/2016 - Site Work Started 29/9/2016 - Handover 142 Work Days 6 Work Days Over https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80174 go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110572 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11037 |
