After many many weeks and months of stalking all of your amazing builds, I wanted to start my own thread as we have officially entered the construction phase! I have found no end of useful information scouring the boards and if any of our experience can help any future builders, all the better. We also found that there are only a handful of threads specific to Celebration Homes and intend to share our experience with them honestly. I have included a timeline below and will upload some plans and photographs as things start to happen - 30/06/17 - HIA build contracts signed (in time for $5k bonus FHOG) 06/07/17 - Land contract accepted 11/08/17 - Conditional mortgage approval 31/08/17 - Preliminary drawings submitted to Shire 01/09/17 - Prestart meeting booked for 20th September 04/09/17 - Updated preliminary drawings sent to us for sign off 06/09/17 - Land titled 08/09/17 - Signed preliminary drawings returned 20/09/17 - Prestart meeting 22/09/17 - Signed contract variation sent back to CH and broker 26/09/17 - Mortgage approved 28/09/17 - Building permit received 05/10/17 - Received final draft drawings - returned for amendment 09/10/17 - FHOG approved 14/10/17 - Final addenda and contract variation returned 18/10/17 - Final plans received 19/10/17 - Final plans returned to CH 27/10/17 - SETTLEMENT 03/11/17 - Scheduling commenced 09/11/17 - Earthworks 10/11/17 - Footings Pour Re: Our Celebration Homes Build Journey - Hocking 2Nov 09, 2017 1:56 pm Our home is based on the Loren display home and part of the Ultimate Range promotion.
