Its gorgeous Thanks! Thanks! I can't believe there's 39 pages haha. So many site visits!! I had so many paint samples but finally settled on dulux endless dusk. I wanted a grey that doesn't have a purple or brown base! It's a gorgeous grey 😀 Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 783Jun 18, 2017 5:28 pm cant decide Looks awesome!! Colour looks great with your bricks. No more mud!! I'm not moving in until mine is done, I can't handle the thought of mud in my new house. Can't wait to see your landscaping, I'm like you do not looking forward to it. I am not at all looking forward to the landscaping side of things either. After doing our last build I said I'd never build again! Hopefully the weather stays reasonable so we can get some done before the rain hits! 😀 Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 787Jun 21, 2017 8:53 pm Emmz70 Wow love your driveway Kat wow I'm looking forward to see your finished landscape. Thanks emmz! The driveway has been a stressful nightmare with the guy not showing up when he's said he would and not replying to messages etc. Plus he wrecked the seal on our neighbours driveway too so I'll be glad to see the back of him!!! Landscaping is a whole other nightmare I can't even think about haha! Hopefully get started on it soon but we're debating with the builder next door about who's responsible to retain the land as they've raised the house and pushed all the soil to the edge of the block creating a 600mm drop on the fenceline! I can't wait to see what you come up with. Thanks Dawn! Hopefully we can get our retaining walls and fences in asap so we can make a start on the landscaping... Just want it all to be over now so I can just live and not worry every day 😢 Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 789Jun 21, 2017 9:10 pm Oh, what the heck.. surely the neighbor's builder has to deal with that??? Yuh, fences are the biggie.. then you can take time with the landscaping. I'm not looking forward to the landscaping, though I haven't much to do really... the biggest jobs are side gate/finish front fence, but dad has skills to do it if I buy materials... and the other big job is paving the front path.. turf and planting is nothing major, just costly.. Yeah it's just another rubbish situation we have to deal with. Fingers crossed we can get it sorted soon. No fences is balls! Our last landscaping we got done in 2 days with a big team of friends so fingers crossed this is not too painful hahaha Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 791Jun 22, 2017 10:08 am Kat_1025 Emmz70 Wow love your driveway Kat wow I'm looking forward to see your finished landscape. Positive side is If you retain yours first it can give you the option to do some nice planter boxes. we have the same issue at our back and side neighbour. They are slightly higher. So we'll be levelling ground and retaining the back and r/side Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I'm definitely Over seeing mud lol Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 792Jun 22, 2017 11:24 am Emmz70 Kat_1025 Emmz70 Wow love your driveway Kat wow I'm looking forward to see your finished landscape. It's just a matter of getting them to fix it. Our last house we were slightly lower than two of our neighbours and had to retain as no-one had built up. It was just the way the land was 😢 Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 793Jun 22, 2017 9:44 pm Kat_1025 Emmz70 Kat_1025 [quote="Emmz70"]Wow love your driveway Kat wow I'm looking forward to see your finished landscape. Just for the 48sq of concrete to driveway plus path around to the meter box was 48sq which was around the 5k mark. Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 797Jun 27, 2017 9:20 am wedge117 The estate we are building in supplies colour bond fences so all are the same colour & height Our estate requires a certain fence but is the responsibility of the owners afyer construction! The problem is the retaining of their land not the type of fence 😢 Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 798Jun 27, 2017 9:22 am Newport 275+ Hi Kat, Do u remember how much did they charge you to add timber flooring to the living area? Do you just mean the front living? It was about 7-800 I think. So annoying as all the displays have wood or tiles there and you don't know it's carpet unless you look at your drawings! Worth it I think but still frustrating Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 799Jun 27, 2017 9:52 am Even my house, which was a custom floorplan and didn't have a display was $500 to change the living room from carpet to tiles. I found this annoying XD Especially as its one big open plan room, why would I want half carpet and half tiles. Re: Fairhaven Homes Newport 361 in Sth East Melbourne 800Jun 27, 2017 10:46 am Yes Kat & aloenyx, it's exactly the same reason I'm thinking of changing it. But When I asked FH was generous enough to change it for me being so close to completion. Thanks for your feedback May I ask why you chose not to use GJ Gardiner?
