In other news, our slab was poured yesterday, finally some progress Re: Building at Catherine Park 186Jan 29, 2018 9:58 am joannapaulp Hey bugslife, you’re powering along. After being pegged out on Saturday, they’re now scraping your block today Oh my god really!? Yay!!! Any pictures you can send me until I can get out there after work? 😂😂 Thanks for letting me know. We drove past on Saturday and saw the surveyor there pegging everything out. Got our Construction Plans today and saw they hadn't fixed issues since our Plan Presentation so hopefully they can be fixed very quickly. Out at the moment, but when I get back I’ll take a shot of the work they’ve done. Might see you around this evening 😊 Re: Building at Catherine Park 189Jan 29, 2018 7:17 pm Congrats on your scrape back bugslife ! Very exciting. Didn’t seem that long ago that we had ours scraped back and now we have a slab. Our frames are due on Wednesday so fingers crossed the weather holds out so they can get them up quickly. joannapaulp who did your front retaining wall. We love it. Thinking we will need something similar as our place is set up a little high and we will have a bit of slope out the front. Law crescent is changing at a rapid pace! It’s great to watch Re: Building at Catherine Park 190Jan 29, 2018 10:26 pm Kurdie Congrats on your scrape back bugslife ! Very exciting. It’s great to watch We got it done by a guy we have used before, we can pass his details on to you if you like. Got it rendered by someone he works with at times Re: Building at Catherine Park 191Jan 31, 2018 8:16 am After speaking with our Slab Supervisor yesterday, all our site prep is done & piering/plumbing etc to be done early next week followed by slab one week after. This process is going much quicker than I thought! Re: Building at Catherine Park 192Feb 19, 2018 11:10 am Hi all, We purchased our lot back in April, Lot 2076 Law Crescent. Unfortunately for us, we're still at the end of the admin process. Eagerly waiting for construction to start which hopefully will be in April/May. Nice to see this street and the rest of the estate growing. We drove passed out land on the weekend and found 2 large piles of dirt left on there Luckily our neighbour saw who left it there. One was the builder next to us and the other was from a truck who just dumped it there and drove off. Has anyone had this issue? I emailed the builder next door and he owned up to one pile and will remove it. The other pile we have no idea who it was so might need to remove it ourselves. Any one need extra fill haha Feel free to take some! Re: Building at Catherine Park 193Feb 19, 2018 11:21 am Jaydeeh82 Hi all, We purchased our lot back in April, Lot 2076 Law Crescent. The dirt has been there since at least 30th Jan - maybe try reporting to Catherine Park or council for illegal dumping? You can also advertise on the local swap/sell for Camden/Macarthur people will always put their hand up for it 😊 Hopefully you get to the bottom of it! Re: Building at Catherine Park 194Feb 19, 2018 12:01 pm Hi there, peeps across the road here. I can confirm that the the builder on the left did do the left hand pile, watched then doing it while cutting driveway and in the backyard. Was speaking to your other neighbour the other day and he was telling me about the dumping of the other pile there. I do need a small bit of extra fill out the back, was considering raising your piles for what I needed anyway Re: Building at Catherine Park 195Feb 19, 2018 12:03 pm bugslife Jaydeeh82 Hi all, We purchased our lot back in April, Lot 2076 Law Crescent. So you're the one building McDonald Jones homes? Nice! My brother built with them at Willowdale, handover this week. They were really quick at getting it up. Thanks for letting me know. Didn't realise it was there all that time. We don't always drive down since there's not much to look at at the moment. Yeah, i'll try my luck posting it on gumtree. Hopefully no one else dumps more. Can't wait for construction so at least there will be a fence. Re: Building at Catherine Park 196Feb 19, 2018 12:22 pm joannapaulp Hi there, peeps across the road here. I remember seeing an Eden Brae house across the road being built. Thanks! Feel free to take whatever you need haha. Re: Building at Catherine Park 197Feb 19, 2018 12:35 pm That’s us, sandwiched between construction sites on either side at the moment Re: Building at Catherine Park 198Feb 19, 2018 8:04 pm We had to pay $1500 to remove dumped building waste on our site. Very frustrating. We negotiated with our builder to put the fence up early so when we cleared it no one could dump on it again. majestic35.weebly.com Re: Building at Catherine Park 199Feb 20, 2018 11:15 am Argh, that's expensive just to remove dirt. That's what I'm afraid we'll end up having to do as well. Very annoying! I'm still a few months until construction so I'm doubtful my builder will agree but doesn't hurt to try. Rocchet I see you built with WIsdom, we're also building with them. How close were you to construction when you fenced it up? Otherwise, looking into hiring it myself. That would be cheaper than having to remove it again and again. Re: Building at Catherine Park 200Feb 22, 2018 9:54 pm Jaydeeh82 Argh, that's expensive just to remove dirt.
