Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 10, 2016 3:51 pm Hi everyone, Interested in reviews/feedback about Lappato tiles? I am thinking about putting Lappato tiles in the living areas (http://www.beaumont-tiles.com.au/All-Products/Product-Details?pid=187006&tag=LAPPATO&pspid=1) They look like they have a nice shine to them. But not super glossy. I am looking for tiles that will be easy to keep relatively clean with a young family. Are high gloss tiles a nightmare to keep clean? Would appreciate any comments or photos of how it looks. Thanks! Louise Re: Lappato tiles - reviews 2May 10, 2016 6:41 pm We are putting tiles into our living areas as well and I am definitely leaning towards the lappato. I love gloss tiles but they aren't practical with two little boys running around on them, but lappato gives a shine whilst still having some grip. I am currently receiving samples off an eBay store - supercheap tiles. Very reasonable prices and lovely tiles. Just got to find the right ones now! That particular tile you have chosen is nice. It's a lot 'shinier' in person than many of the other lappato tiles but still doesn't show marks. I went with one called 'Axis white lappato' and it hasn't got anywhere near the spunk that your tile does! Polished tiles are gorgeous and do make a space feel bigger but I think those lappato tiles can be equally as sexy but less maintenance (I always go over the top with cleaning products so can't imagine how I'd deal with big pine o clean streaks across polished porcelain!) I love them! But I notice that when drops of water dry on them it does sometimes leave water marks. Not sure if it's the colour we chose. They're easier to keep clean looking than high gloss. Sounds like we are on the right track! My in laws have them in the bathroom and I know what you mean about water drops. Around the sink it might be a bit annoying but hopefully overall it suits better!
