Dulux Wall Colours

Am now thinking Dulux White Watsonia for kitchen cabinetry? Not too creamy not too white, a good in between colour...

Can't wait to see how your samples turn out.
That's an interesting colour white Watsonia.
Just googled it.
nice
What about natural white? It's quite white without being too yellow or too cool. We just did our whole new build in natural white - architraves, ceiling the lot. We don't have cornices as its square set. Eventually we might do a feature somewhere but I'm more inclined to adorn the walls with some art for colour. It looks quite yellow there but it's just the light. Looks quite crisp on the walls but doesn't feel cold.

Personally I would do your skirts the same colour but in an enamel semi gloss or full gloss (if you wanted to be more traditional).

I also am doing my entire house in natural white. My doors, skirting and architrave are vivid white.

The ceiling is vivid white with a touch of grey

It does look good, the subtle hue of yellow ever so slightly so it doesn't look clinical.

Thanks Emmz, my sister has it in her kitchen and it looks quite nice, I'm stressing a little as the decision has to be made tomorrow!

The white dune half and whisper white looked quite nice too when I tested them.

I am so indecisive

AussieMark and Lexie - thanks for the advice on natural white, I should have picked up a sample pot of that one too!

Thanks for those pics also, and can I ask what colour and material the laundry cabinets are made from?

The consultants are fabulous (ours were) we went in with no theme and they help you decide. We spent 75% of our budget before we got to cabinetry
big part of it on flooring

Hubby gave up once we got to kitchen lol so had to do it alone.
Even though you complete internals you'll find you'll be making changes again after appointment.
something better always comes up
I hope my consultants are as good as yours were, I've got 5 ideas scrapbooks - one for each appointment / area of the home. My husband thinks I'm a little extreme
I kind of feel a bit sorry for the Studio M people in advance, it's going to be a long 2 days...

Emmz, what flooring did you choose?

They say when painting the exterior of the house to go 2 - 4 shades darker (because of the sun)
I was a little put off on 1 of the reviews above saying that Sandy Day looked pink.
So far...from the DULUX paints, I have narrowed it down to 4 colours that all look pretty similar (grey-coffee colour)
1. Grand piano
2. Buff it
3. Beige Royal
4. Sandy Day

PLEASE HELP!!! I have been looking at colours for the past 5 weeks - and it's driving me crazy!!!!
I don't want the colout too beigy brown...I want it more of a grey/light coffee colour - more grey than coffee - Is that makes sense! But not grey grey! LOL

Any help on these 4 colours would be great

Are you painting render or weatherboard and what colour will your garage door, entry door and Windows be?

It will be render - I havent chosen the colour of garage door or front door yet - Thinking maybe white for garage door....Windows will be white
Outdoors, none of those colours will offer much of a contrast with white/surfmist garage door and windows.
They'll all be very, very light.

To give you an idea of how much colours appear lighter on the exterior, compare colorbond surfmist with a sample for white windows. There'll be a contrast. On the exterior, they'll both look white.

I was originally going to go with beige Royal but today we changed our render to Dulux Mangaweka, it's a beigey grey colour.

We have white Windows.

A note about Whisper White - I honestly love the colour. We painted it in our master bedroom and ensuite. However, it can throw off a slight greenish tinge at times, especially under artificial light (we have warm white bulbs in our bedroom). During the day it is a lovely white - not too warm, not too cool, definitely not creamy. But I probably wouldn't use it again because of that slight green that comes through.

Best of luck picking paint - it took us forever and we ended up going with Solver Floral White in our new place (currently under construction.)
Weve used White beach quarter, we could only choose 1 colour for walls, skirts etc. The colour is beautiful on the walls!

I think you've chosen the right render colour for your white Windows - it matches well in the picture you've supplied.

I love Whisper White too, I ended up choosing it for my kitchen cabinetry. Still undecided about the walls though!

Hi I have whisper white throughout a new build at the moment. It is a lovely subtle colour by the way and throws beautiful shadows. My question is I want to do a feature wall in the bedroom - looking at dulux Island Sea - will that completely overpower the Whisper? Should I use half and half? Thanks
