Hi,
We are at brick stage of our home and it's a brick veneer (not sure of spelling) with wooden frames. We realise being veneer the brickwork is not structural and it's all on the frames however we are a little worried.
Our brickwork on the exterior of the house looks amazing/ perfect it's lined up nicely and the mortar is even and it's looking beautiful on the outside however looking at it from the inside is a whole different picture. There's either way too much mortar in places and it's oozing/hanging out the between the bricks or with heaps of them there are just large gaps and we can't see any mortar at all from the back (front is perfect) there are also quite a few irregularities such as chipped and cracked bricks looking at it from the back.
We have raised these concerns and have been told it's all quite normal and that's how it goes. I can't find any other people on here discussing it or having the same issue though so I just need to know that it's okay/normal. We do trust our site supervisor he is a really great bloke but I just need that extra peace of mind as it still seems odd to us and I am a total stress head!
Thanks in advance
