Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 01, 2016 7:46 pm Hi Guys, Getting a bit lost with this all! Wife and I needing a custom builder to create our dream home that the kids can grow up in (South East Melbourne) I've liked the "Arden Bespoke" range... higher ceilings, stone throughout, square edge ceilings etc... and obviously, their price per Square would be factored in to this. However, I'm talking to a smaller builder and their more or less saying - "don't worry about that stuff, anyone can put that stuff in and call it "inclusions" if their price is high enough to begin with. Anyway - I really liked the Arden Bespoke display in Keysbourough Victoria and could see myself having everything they had there, but custom to our floor plan. I really liked it. But my wife is driving me crazy as she's telling me to not worry so much about those things as we can always find a builder who'll allow us to put those things in. So yeah - its hard as we've found a smaller builder with not much testimonial/feedback - but their keen - as opposed to going bigger (arden homes) and using their "bespoke" options Any heads up on this would be great as we're lost Re: Confusion about "extras" and "inclusions" 2May 01, 2016 8:08 pm The best thing to do is get a quote off each with all the inclusions you are after and then compare the price. Don't let them give you PC amounts unless you are certain you can get what ever you want within the price. For example - a builder may give you a PC of $4000 for your kitchen appliances instead of listing each individual item. Remember you're the customer so get them to give you everything and if they are not willing to list exactly what you are getting then flick them quick smart. Hi All, see above image. I'll make sure to do some door-to-door knocking, or note their building details on the temp fence. 4 4737 I recently went through a similar renovation and move scenario when updating our family home.
