Happy that the pavers aren't bluey grey which is what I'd started panicking about! Chased up the blinds guy for the final price and was so relieved when he suggested we meet again briefly to check he's got it all listed properly as I've wobbled over the colour I had picked so now I get to look again 😂 Thinking we will do all the same colour (greige kind of textured cream) but wondering if that's dull? Everything is neutral and all the same tones throughout so I think it makes sense that they aren't radically different? Have gone for cassette blinds to blackout my boys rooms (to keep them asleep til at leasy 7am!) and blackout romans to activity, bed2, theatre, study and the master bedroom. I hope it will be ok. Asked him to fit them high up nearer the cornices so that when they're fully pulled up you don't lose the top third of light. Not doing anything in family room bathrooms laundry or toilets as I won't use them! Can always add them in future. Currently writing up a running order of what needs doing after handover, timed around the pool install. Stress!!! Breathe breathe x Re: Alkimos Aveling first timers! 93Oct 05, 2016 12:12 am emzz Hi Zoe, wow it's coming along nicely! Have you got a date for PCI yet? No no date as yet, just the SS saying that all the final trades are booked in and so long as no hold ups it would be 3rd week in October. Have already moved the flooring people to mid November from 1st week in December so I think I'll leave that as is as it will only take three days. Exciting but messy times ahead! Breathe breathe x I think neutral is good for window fittings you can add all the colour in your rooms through accessories which are easy to change when you get sick of them unlike blinds or curtains! Really like the colour which is a huge relief as the standard inclusion choice of colours wasn't huge, the pavers match the soft washed out colours of the house pretty well I think/hope lol. Today - flyscreens all installed, silicon sealing all done, floor level of interior dining wall tidied up where the white set had been missed. Still to be done as far as I can see is air con motors, hot water system installed and solar panels commissioned, bathroom shower screen installed, al fresco paving, garage door installed. Most of these Aveling have said will be done by end of next week, so let's see! Just want to get on with it now! I should start packing up but this rental is so little that we have no space for boxes, our new fridge is sat in my dad's garage and our storage unit is already full! Not long to go now Stilettos & Bricks -our Building Journey Blog https://stilettosbricks.com viewtopic.php?f=31&t=85183&hilit=secret+harbour Re: Alkimos Aveling first timers! 99Oct 18, 2016 5:35 pm PCI booked for a week Thursday! Garage door and roller door plus air con and hot water system fitted this week. Think we need a final clean and not sure what else. Other half can't make the inspection so it'll be me and our building inspector. Wish it was this week though 😂 Re: Alkimos Aveling first timers! 100Oct 18, 2016 5:54 pm How exciting Zoe! Hopefully everything runs smoothly for you on the day. We had hardly any issues at our inspection besides from the little things here and there. Key pick up is booked in for next Thursday and I cannot wait!! 11 40631 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7233 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA? Good or bad, hopefully good just need to know if my choice was good or not? Thanks ❤️ 0 8855 |
