Kids can't wait to use it. Bench tops are Ocean Foam. Really glad they fixed the sink. Our SS said we'll know a hand-over date when the painters are in, which is about 2.5 weeks away. Our fingers are crossed for a pre Xmas handover as our rental has just been listed for sale this week. Not looking forward to real estate inconvenience - can't wait till we're at your stage! Not too long. Re: GJ Gardner - Mandalay 298 - QLD 264Oct 26, 2016 4:46 pm Re: GJ Gardner - Mandalay 298 - QLD 266Nov 06, 2016 9:00 pm G'day Adz - it's moving along. Since my last post the tilers left for a week (to another job) and returned last Monday. They've completed the floors (no grout yet) and started on the bathroom walls, however it looks like they're going to be short on tiles which will add a bit more time to complete that. I wasn't able to get any photos with wall tiles unfortunately. Plumbing/drainage was all connected, and the pool pipes are laid. Shed site has been filled and steel reo is on-site ready to start preparing for that. Courtyard concrete was poured on Friday 4/11/16. Aggregate driveway (to house) and path along side of western wall is supposed to get poured this week. Driveway to shed should be cut at the road this week - not sure on pour date for this one yet. Pool surround concreting won't be too far away - pool coping might be at the end of this week (3 weeks cured this Thursday coming). I've nailed 900 fence palings (infilling fence gaps between palings) and screwed in 47 sleepers - and still have about another 400-500 palings and 30+ sleepers to go after hand-over (plus any sleepers for garden beds on top of that) Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: GJ Gardner - Mandalay 298 - QLD 267Nov 08, 2016 4:12 pm Shed slab was poured today - doesn't look as big - hopefully the walls give it the size! It is 9.4m wide x 12m deep (3.6m walls to gutters; 4.5m to peak). Driveway and path down western wing is boxed ready to pour with eclipse aggregate tomorrow - very happy with GJ and the concretors allowing an extension of the path down to the pool area (will allow access from the pool to the powder room through the laundry) at the last minute. Tilers wrap up their internal work tomorrow - they've started grouting the main floor and bathroom floors, and they'll be back in about 4 weeks or so to complete about 130m2 of external tiling. Got a couple of photos of the bathrooms with the wall tiles on - very happy with how they've come up - will be neat when the white grout is in. Tilers said the painter did a drive-by this morning, so I guess they'll be in pretty soon. Once they're done, we hope to get a hand-over date. How long left now do you think? Re: GJ Gardner - Mandalay 298 - QLD 271Nov 10, 2016 5:22 pm Thanks.... we're pretty happy and looking forward to seeing it painted. We should find out a hand-over date when the painters are in or done - so hopefully soon. Re: GJ Gardner - Mandalay 298 - QLD 274Nov 16, 2016 5:53 pm I have a shed (nearly)... really happy with it and the heights (4.5m apex; 3.6m gutters). Painters look like they've sprayed the sealing coat throughout the interior and have done most of the exterior.
