Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 22, 2016 9:32 am We've just signed on to build the Newport 361 through fairhaven. There doesn't seem to be a great deal of topics on them or their builds though! Was wondering if anyone had a suppliers list? Or has built with fairhaven? Do you have your colour selections you'd be willing to share? We'll be going to colours in a few weeks and I've got no idea haha! Re: Fairhaven Homes 2Apr 22, 2016 9:55 am Hi Kat, Congratulations on your build. We're currently building with Fairhaven (Queenscliff 416) - you'll find some of their suppliers on their web page. We've got some of our colour selections on our build thread below. It seems to be one of very few fairhaven ones We have just signed off on the plans after 14 revisions, a complete kitchen redesign and land should be titled in June/July so hopefully we get things moving now so we can start building as soon as the blocks ours! Re: Fairhaven Homes 4Apr 22, 2016 4:03 pm We had 19 revisions by the time we got to contract and the only real "structural change" we made was increasing the length of the theatre room by 400mm and reducing the size of the study and as the wall was not load bearing there was no cost involved. I would recommend doing some homework before your colour appointment as there is a lot to cover on the day. We went with the same colour selections as the display home in Cranbourne West (apart from the floor tiles as my wife wanted the Belga Charcoal Shine tiles that are in the Riverview display home next door) or where the particular colour carpet was no longer available and we selected the closest equivalent. Despite all this we still spent about 5 1/2 hours at the colour appointment! Are you doing your colour appointment with Wendy? It's beautiful Good choice on making the theatre bigger too!! Our sales person has offered to open up the showroom for us one morning before we do our colour appt so we can select some things early and take some pressure off the colour appt! We don't have an exact date yet. Cro should be in contact in the next few days to book it all in Re: Fairhaven Homes 6Apr 22, 2016 6:04 pm Wendy (colour consultant) has a record of all colours/materials/fittings used in every display home, so if you want a certain paint colour/tile/tap/sink/mortar colour etc. that is in the display house, they can quickly identify it for you to assist with the process. But worried I'll go into colours with a pretty clear idea and then spend months after questioning it all haha! We built our first house through Henley and went for the showroom tour. I think we had more than half the things picked before our appt. meant it only took 1.5hours! We were super quick haha We are looking to do a KDR with fairhaven homes, Have seen plenty of good reviews about them pre construction and plenty of negative reviews about them during contruction… 0 18017 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74682 I would never build with Fowler homes. I built with them in 2021 and till date maintenance issues are pending.
