Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 19, 2016 10:08 pm Hi all, I settled on an off-the-plan townhouse last month. During the handover inspection I was more focused on the variations I asked for and didn't spend as much time as I should've picking out other things. I've since had to travel for work and have really only just started moving and settling in. I have found in the bathroom scratched tiles and one that appears to be cracked. To me it looks like it happened when the shower screens/glass where being fitted off as the scratch is in that direction. Have I missed the boat? Or can this be claimed under the defect period? I was reading the VBA guide and it mentions that cracked, pitted, damaged etc tiles are classed as defective before handover, but after handover the definition changes slightly. Thanks!
