But our rep did say they were expensive Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 22May 04, 2016 5:31 pm Also I saw a few people chasing pricing on upgrading to a 1200 door I'll post our costs below but basically it was $948 but then $310 to make it a stain grade rather than paint grade then we chose a cheaper door apparently so got $220 back and then $298 for the Omni pull handle.... Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 23May 04, 2016 5:38 pm Whaaaaaat? We paid $948 for door upgrade but I'm pretty sure we weren't charged to stain it! I def don't remember giving her a paint colour- we are matching our door with the timber we have on our portico. I'll check my paperwork at home. And Omni pull handle was $298. You can always change the door and handle after handover as Bunnings has the same range for half the price. Mon Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 26May 04, 2016 7:51 pm We were also quoted $2000 but when I questioned it they said it was a mistake mmmmm like Mon said ours was $760. Funny thing is the other day the SS asked why we have a grate! I told him they made us have it, obviously not really needed. We were told anything over 600 on the floor needs it for the fall? Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 28May 04, 2016 8:38 pm Commenting to follow along michellecandice! I worked for a builder for years and all I've done since signing with HGWA is argue it's nuts how badly they try it on with zero justification for why they originally wanted to charge you the outrageous price ? So frustrating!!! I was really looking forward to building hoping the joy comes back in once we get out of admin!!! Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 32May 05, 2016 7:40 pm Incase anyone else was chasing costs of upgrading to a 1c brick here is a QS pricing of what it should actually cost!!! It's with HGWA now waiting to hear back! Also interestingly enough the QS priced full height tiling in vitrified porcelain for me and came back at half HGWA price will most likely get that done after handover now Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 33May 05, 2016 9:34 pm We are doing full height tiling afterwards as home group wanted to charge us $340/sqm!! And that wasn't including the cost of the tiles!!!! Can't believe they didn't want to come to the party. Some other lucky bugger will get the cash instead Mon Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 34May 05, 2016 10:27 pm It's crazy!!! See the brick and mortar price on there comes in at just under $4k HGWA wanted $16741 for that ?!!! I'm dying to know what anyone else got quoted to change their kitchen cupboards to drawers!!!! Re: First time builder HGWA - yanchep 36May 12, 2016 11:41 pm Does anyone know what happens if you get a tiler to do full height after handover? Im just wondering what happens with the cornicing, is there away around having to remove it?
