Quite a bit has happened since these pics, but I've been slack! I'll rectify that shortly. Gyprock is all but done, wardrobes are in (no doors yet) as are kitchen cabinets. Skirting and architraves are done and bathroom and laundry cabinets are in. Have also just had the back yard roughly levelled out while we could get access from the blocks behind us. Doors are all hung and portico timber trim is on. Getting close now. SS is aiming for 5 weeks to handover, so we'll see how close he is. He's been really good so far. I'll get some pics up tonight if I can. Our thread: viewtopic.php?t=82814 Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 25May 18, 2016 8:06 pm Wow that's huge progress! Only 5 weeks now!? Wow that will fly! That is fantastic. We have been held up in council- almost 7 weeks now😠 and still waiting. At least we know what the issue is now but still font know how long it will take. I have been panicking that if we weren't started in the next few weeks then we would have no hope of being in by Christmas, but you are giving me hope that when it starts it will all move quickly. I have been panicking that if we weren't started in the next few weeks then we would have no hope of being in by Christmas, but you are giving me hope that when it starts it will all move quickly. Hang in there Becs. If you get the SS we did, things should start moving along. He's a good operator. Totally understand your frustration, though. Our admin and council stage dragged on for ages because of silly mistakes. I think the SS is probably aware of some of the frustration levels people are at by the time he meets them to start the build and he seems to do his best to keep things going. I look forward to seeing yours kick off soon. Our thread: viewtopic.php?t=82814 Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 31May 18, 2016 9:07 pm Oh wow! Its looking awesome michaelandkaty! Can i ask what the frame is for in the kitchen? Is that to have a stone table attached? _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 32May 19, 2016 12:21 pm Ryalls_first_build Oh wow! Its looking awesome michaelandkaty! Can i ask what the frame is for in the kitchen? Is that to have a stone table attached? Yep, sure is. Hopefully bench top will go on soon. Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 33May 22, 2016 8:20 am So our SS quit this week. Bit of a bummer as he was a good operator. Not much has happened this week, and I imagine that's the reason. Area manager called and said he's got a new guy starting on Tuesday. Hopefully he'll keep things moving along. I feel like we're getting so close and I'd hate for it to falter now. Paint, tiles, tapware and bench tops are about all that's left plus the electrical finish-off. Hopeful for a good outcome. The SS we had had managed to pretty much turn our opinion of Coral around, so hopefully the next one is good too. Our thread: viewtopic.php?t=82814 Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 34May 22, 2016 9:03 am Oh no!! You and he were our hope that things would progress smoothly once started. Fingers crossed the next one will be just as efficient. Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 36May 23, 2016 6:36 pm Some up to date pics showing cornices and some other stuff. Things have slowed a bit with the SS quitting, but there is work booked this week and next, so hopefully that goes ahead as planned. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Front door with Handle! Your house is looking amazing!! I really hope the SS change doesn't hold you up. We picked the same front door!! Love it! what dimensions is that if you don't mind me asking? The rep told me that a handle plus lock alongside (rather than below) would fit on the narrow side of the glass but I'm no so sure looking it it haha. Your kitchen bench- wow C U S T O M. C O R A L. The door is 1200mm wide. Not sure if there would be enough room for what you described. Seems to be enough room for the normal handle but not heaps more. Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 39May 23, 2016 7:03 pm Lovely! I have the same front door too. Nice to see someone else with the same door so i know what it looks like installed. Re: Coral Homes Daydream 30ish 40May 23, 2016 8:35 pm I love it!! Ive never seen that door before 😍😍 _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13771 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4343 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74702 |
