Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 12, 2016 7:07 am Hey all, Have an issue with our front door. My Dad pointed this out as a defect, but the builder and his supervisor were adamant that it was natural variation. I then received an email later on that a rep had been out to confirm it's a natural variation. I find this quite suss as I wasn't there when the inspection was done. Just an email sent along. I've looked at the neighbours doors (all similar) and went to Bunnings to check out the raw doors for sale and couldn't find one with anything that looked like ours. I've included three images below (first two from outside and last from inside). What do you reckon folks? Damaged or natural variation. The veneers are sliced from same plank then trimmed and layed out side by side, this causes the one line to repeat itself. In the highest grade veneers this would usually get cut out to leave no defects.
