Must be something with the Balmoral and hard floors everywhere! Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 122Aug 24, 2017 11:09 pm Katran, your house looks AMAZING. Can I ask what colour you used for the stairbox? We wanted the same colour but was told at our colour consult that they couldn't go that dark. Yet another porky told by Rawson... How's your house coming along in terms of landscaping/window coverings? Any pics to share? =D Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 125Aug 25, 2017 9:09 am VictoriaEve Hey Steve! How's your house coming along in terms of landscaping/window coverings? Any pics to share? =D I finally got approval for the landscaping this week after 4 months of battles with the council, consultants, and certifier. I'll have lots of progress in the yard next month. Roller blinds. Best thing for them is motorised action. I have motors for the massive window over the stairs and also over the bath in the master ensuite. These are throughout the house except bedrooms and the front entry. Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 127Aug 27, 2017 11:56 pm Katran From memory I think the colour is dark knight? The colour is exactly what we wanted but our colour consultant wouldn't let us get any really dark colours - she said that it's hard for them to get them to look good - unbelievable! I'll definitely post up some pics soon...wonder if I should start my own thread - I'm so hopeless at using homeone. Gee...we've had so many issues and delays with the actual house...I hope we don't get held up again with the landscaping. We're going through CDC though so hopefully the whole process with landscape approval is less stringent than going via Council. Your blinds and shutters look great! Hubby wants motorised too...must be a guy thing hehe. They're cool but are they worth the $300 per motor? Can I ask what company did you use for blinds and shutters? We're thinking of going with mostly shutters upstairs...the same colour as the display...which is a dark walnut colour....and a combination of roller blinds and curtains downstairs and the master bedroom. I'm really undecided with the corner stacker door and master bedroom...did you do rollers for both? We got a couple quotes for the curtains and my hubby nearly had a heart attack. We knew they were expensive but not $3k per window! We'd rather spend the money on landscaping. Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 129Aug 28, 2017 12:22 pm Definitely worth motorising blinds in awkward areas. If I built again I'd definitely provision power in the window reveals down stairs. I used elite blinds and shutters who were very reasonable and the 240v motors were $250 each. The shutters took about 6 weeks to get here so keep that in mind as your price probably means it's done here in Australia. We ended up going with a small local company . The have rollers for the bed 1 and linen sheer curtains. Curtains were approx 1k. Will post some photos on thurs.......hopefully! Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 133Sep 02, 2017 8:59 pm Kat, congrats! Just love, love your place! It's a testament to the Balmoral's robust design and your great taste on details around the house. Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 134Sep 02, 2017 8:59 pm Wow. Just wow. Must be such a relief now it's all yours. Congratulations! New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land..... 135Sep 02, 2017 9:11 pm Fee121 What are people using on the stacker doors? As much as we considered against verticals, we ended up with one for our corner stacker doors due to space and functionality. My only consolation was that I got exactly the colour and the type of material i wanted for the 6m wide verticals. Re: New build Rawson Balmoral 38 - we have registered land.. 139Sep 02, 2017 9:59 pm Your place looks fantastic you must be so happy. I really love the curtains and blinds in Bed 1. I was thinking I wanted shutters but you've got me thinking twice. I really like the way the curtains go to the roof. Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 1041 13 4517 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 2124 |
