Wow You are moving quickly best of luck for Tuesday. Be expecting to spend a lot of money, surprisingly it goes very quick Re: Dream Home - Glendale 45 10Apr 09, 2016 11:38 pm Emmz70 JNT_Glendale45 We are having our electrical appointment next Tuesday. What should we be expecting? Any tips everyone? Wow You are moving quickly best of luck for Tuesday. Be expecting to spend a lot of money, surprisingly it goes very quick I think so too and we are not prepared.... We have an allowance of 13.5k in our estimate do you think its sufficient? Re: Dream Home - Glendale 45 11Apr 10, 2016 12:06 am Hmm for your size home can easily go over that. But if your doing a lot of things handover definitely should be enough Down Lights can blow your budget out and A/C is really expensive 20k plus so pays to shop around externally. Aim to do a lot of pre-wiring to save money. Our size home is 39 and our costs was $20,500 this is minus A/C so it gives you an indication on what to expect JNT Re: Dream Home - Glendale 45 14Apr 10, 2016 12:40 am Emmz70 Hmm for your size home can easily go over that. We have provision for refrigerated cooling another 21k. I really hope we come under budget. Will let you all know how I go. Re: Dream Home - Glendale 45 15Apr 10, 2016 12:41 am Emmz70 Where are you located again JNT. We are Melbourne so you will find prices vary between states. located in Melbourne too Re: Dream Home - Glendale 45 16Apr 10, 2016 12:43 am Emmz70 Something I've learnt as well from these forums (and still stuns me) is they do tiling last. After you do your final contract so definitely make sure you add a tiling provision We have only 9.5k for tiling and we wanting 600x600 procelain tiles. Not sure if that will be enough...doubting but crossing my fingers and toes it will. Re: Dream Home - Glendale 45 17Apr 10, 2016 12:44 am Has anyone done procelain tiling to their home? If yes, how much did it come up to? You've pretty much got it covered then Tiling provision is a good, none of us can help you yet because we haven't done tiles. We opted Beaumont tiles because of lack of choices @ studio so our appointment is 28th April on a Saturday If you'd like a copy of some electrical pricing let me know to give you an idea what to expect. What carpets and flooring did you end up with in internals?
