That stair rail is weird, though. Ours is not like that. Can you send me a pic of your handrail at the top of the stairs. Are you CDC? Hi Joamoa, are the rules for staircase different depending on if you go CDC OR DA? Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 66Nov 14, 2016 8:43 pm TheBear Hi Joamoa, On the side entry houses, it has a void looking over the entry, could you take a pic of what that area looks like on yours please. Bear Hi bear. We did away with that void and turned it into a closet. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This was taken with my back to the front wall in the leisure room. Master bed is to the left. Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 67Nov 14, 2016 8:48 pm That's a good idea. I assume then it would just be a flat open area then in the front entry style. Seeing the house agent tomorrow at Kellyville to finalise our plan. Hoping the price doesn't knock me over!!!! Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 68Nov 14, 2016 8:52 pm Curious to know if you got a credit for deleting the void or it was an extra cost. Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 69Nov 14, 2016 9:04 pm CalvinHobbes We got a credit for the balustrades (the glass and Victorian ash). I don't think that it cost anything extra make the closet either. That's the same layout as the show home albeit with the lights which look fantastic by the way. On the front entry, that space won't exist I believe. We've asked for a few changes to our 34Mk2; An extra 1.5m to the back of the house No side wall to the alfresco No pillar on the alfresco doors Blocked off pantry Shallower study (so keep the entry wide) Create a larger entry as per joamoa build No cubicle shower in master ensuite, have a panel to make it more wet room Think that's it so I'm hoping it won't be much more than they originally quoted. Auction for our current place is Thursday so will see how much we can afford ? Looking forward to the posts Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 73Nov 14, 2016 10:12 pm Bear, we specifically asked for the void as it looks grand for our front entry. We have 3.1m high ceilings as you enter and the void with the lights dropping from first level to below just ties in the two spaces. There were a few changes to the 2.4m high windows when we finally decided to align top and bottom to the void. Calvin Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 74Nov 30, 2016 12:55 pm Well, the kitchen is in. Can't say that we are really impressed with the quality of the cabinetry. Because they are white, there's a thin brown line anywhere the laminate meets. Most noticeable on the fridge box front. Also, the screw holes inside the cabinets have been covered up with crappy plastic stickers that are already coming off. I'm wondering if we should have spent the extra $$$ for polyurethane. Wife is really bummed. On the other hand, the built in Hettich rack in the pantry is awesome!! We're going to do our choices in the next few weeks so would like to mention this to Rawson then. Bear Re: KDR With Rawson Homes - Balmoral 34 Mk1 - Majestic Facad 76Nov 30, 2016 2:58 pm Here you go. It's the vertical dark line. This is the front of our fridge box corner facing the kitchen. From what I've been told, it's an issue with the cabinets being white. It's less noticeable with darker colors. Even the poly cabinets have this problem. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's even more evident on the laundry bench top. Wish we hadn't cheaped out here. Not ideal. Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 7532 Just started the Build process for Chifley 42 with Rawson homes, will keep you all posted with the Build progress. 0 1040 |
