Just stealing Bel's idea. Mike has kindly posted my colours, but I don't know what happened with the bricks as neither of those are mine. Mine are Austral wirecut Lonsdale bricks from the settlers range. But it looks like those ones are from a range called Lonsdale. Stupid Austral just trying to confuse things. Anyway, it is the facade as Mike posted with Paperbark fascia and garage doors, Night Sky guttering and downpipes and black window frames. The roof will be Boral Macquarie in the Classic Red colour. The front door will be All Spice (bristol) which is like the roof. We also have a third garage that sits slightly forward of the double if this can be added. I don't know if that can be done? Not asking much am I? If someone could show me how it would look that would be great. Thanks in advance and thanks to Mike for posting the colours and facade as I'm a bit challenged. No one knows which houses belong to the bikies, so the theives are too scared to rob any!!!
Seriously though, I grew up around bikies, and I've had far less trouble in those circles than the so called nice boys. Wallan's got a pretty peaceful country vibe these days. We almost built that house with that facade! Love it! I also like your Lonsdale bricks... very nice. Although.. not a big fan of red roof tiles. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Although.. not a big fan of red roof tiles. I know VJ, I know. We have to have red roof tiles. Estate covenant is Tuscan colours. So that means maroon , orange , yukky brown or red. I think it was best of a bad bunch. I'd be going charcoal if I had a choice. Hoping that by using the Night Sky it will add drama and soften the roof if that makes sense. Also by making the front door the roof colour it ties it in rather than having this big red thing plopped on top of the house! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Hmm.. estate covenants.. good thing, ours is mid to dark grey roof tiles only. though we wanted glazed terracota, but we weren't allowed glazed one. ah yes, you don't like browns because if it was our house, we would go for your yukky brown that would go nice with your Lonsdale bricks ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Built the Nevada 42 Next project - landscaping! Re: Photoshop Help Please ! ! ! 19Jul 28, 2008 11:06 am Peter_OZ there is an estate near us that has that sort of convernant, and all houses must have that federation look to them. Personally I think it is yuk but it is a very well kept estate and consistently gets very good re-sell rates so must be working! Our estate still has a lot of variation. The only covenants are the colours and all external surfaces must be masonry/brick. No cladding, weatherboards or colourbond. The idea is that no one house can dominate the landscape. As our estate is very hilly, and they have placed the lots in little "villages" with open land in between, it does give the appearance of a Tuscan countryside I guess. I'm not too fussed about the restrictions to tell you the truth. All estates have covenants and at least I won't have a 70sq monstrosity next door rendered hot pink!!! They had only just been released and were just what I wanted. Light and suited flush mortar and they were Category 1.
Then went to M head office for appointment and they'd been changed to Category 3. So we were really lucky as we still get them as Category 1!! Jo I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 7158 i had the my concreters concrete right up to the fence. I have pits all along my path, so the water tends to drain away from the house and into the pits.
