Yes just looked back on your timeline there is a good 7mths there where nothing happened! I'm pretty sure our bank had ALOT to do with it. I just gave them the email and they were pushing them for the info and to get things done! And we had the advantage of going straight into head office with our contracts.. Can't wait to see how all our builds go though! Re: Building with oracle Qld 6Apr 02, 2016 9:00 am Your very lucky with how fast it's moving actually, I didn't realise how quick you have been processed. Being council approved in Feb & starting the next month is very good for this company...compared to me 6months later. Re: Building with oracle Qld 7Apr 02, 2016 9:10 am Pink86 I wish I had your timeline! Our land settled in September, it took them 6months from land settlement to starting! We signed our contract with them almost 14months ago! I was thinking the same thing .. your timeline is looking quite considerable compared to the delays we had Re: Building with oracle Qld 8Apr 02, 2016 9:35 am Yeh I called/emailed nearly every day since council to make sure they put everything through (even called the operations manager to complain) I called the day it was approved by certifier and engineer than made sure it was sent to production the same day. Than that took 2.5 weeks and we were pretty much in construction straight away.. I just have a feeling my build time is gonna be slow! Re: Building with oracle Qld 9Apr 02, 2016 9:46 am I called/emailed them almost everyday too, 80% of the time I couldn't speak to anyone & noone would call back. I Just think they put NSW in a backlog & kept on going with QLD. But you are very lucky, maybe that's why ours now seem to be moving quite quick by making up for lost time lol. Re: Building with oracle Qld 11Apr 02, 2016 9:58 am I hear you totally however I was a wreck & I did fall apart. I hit absolute rock bottom, I wasn't eating, sleeping & I almost lost my relationship over it all. My hubby has changed too, he isn't coping well. Having to live with my MIL doesn't help at all. I am better by far now I can actually see a light at the end of the tunnel. But I wouldn't wish it upon anyone being in my situation especially with 2 kids you have to keep being strong for.. Re: Building with oracle Qld 12Apr 02, 2016 10:06 am Aww that's horrible!! For it to start to bring down family.. We would fight over it cause my partner was constantly at me about why it was taking so long and I couldnt give him an answer. Also hacking into savings cause it's taken a lot longer than budgeted for.. On top of dealing with it all being heavily pregnant was very very stressful and made my pregnancy hell!! Re: Building with oracle Qld 13Apr 02, 2016 10:18 am Yep, it brought us all down bigtime. We would fight about saving too my hubby is impatient & has bought pretty much everything we need plus some & has our storage shed is now overflowing. Stuff that can wait until we move in, he had to buy now. Now we can't buy a lounge or table etc until we move in. Couldn't even imagine being pregnant through it all, that would have been stressful. But things are looking up & I hope the rest of the build is smooth sailing. Don't think I can take anymore stress lol. Our SS was very thoughtful once he found out how long we have been waiting & where we are living throughout this process. He said he will do everything he can to get it done as quick & in great quality as he can. I am so glad we got him. Re: Building with oracle Qld 14Apr 02, 2016 10:33 am You are lucky you got a great ss. We're not sure about ours he rocked up and hour late to our meeting didn't even apologise than when I went on to tell him about our lease running out he stopped me and goes oh seems like everyone's lease is running out being a smart ***! Than he carried on to to say how he's heard I call a lot and what not than said he wasn't sure whether he wanted to give me his number( he eventually did by the end of meeting) so 1st impression not the greatest but towards the end of the meet he was a bit nicer! Says I remind him of his daughter and didn't want to see me cry so would do his best to book things closely lol (I take it he gets a lot of woman crying wanting their houses built lol) Re: Building with oracle Qld 18Apr 02, 2016 2:12 pm Wow that's strange that they aren't giving out their number. I'm with a different company and his number was in the contract. Hi, I contracted a Builder to do a Garage to Bedroom + ensuite conversion (Class 1a), the Builder engaged the Certifier and Engineer and received BDA from the Certifier… 0 5511 Hi all. Anyone know when the $11,000 limit was set in legislation for renovations in QLD? Ive been renovating for 5 years now and this was the limit back then. As we know,… 0 4718 We used a smaller qld builder who went bankrupt about 12 months after completion of ours. It was a shame as they were good and relatively cheap and I would have used… 3 5670 |
