Re: Oldies Coral Homes Manhattan design in Camira Qld 623Dec 07, 2016 9:35 pm Hi Tamara. Funny that you should say that because our 34 year old thinks the red barstools look like open red mouths. Re: Oldies Coral Homes Manhattan design in Camira Qld 624Dec 07, 2016 9:39 pm Oldies Hi Tamara. Funny that you should say that because our 34 year old thinks the red barstools look like open red mouths. Haha I didn't see that before but now that you mention it... lol Re: Oldies Coral Homes Manhattan design in Camira Qld 625Dec 07, 2016 9:40 pm Who did you go through for your pool? We are getting ready to build at New Beith. Not too far from you. Well, we are ready - coral homes are the ones that are still getting ready lol Re: Oldies Coral Homes Manhattan design in Camira Qld 626Dec 08, 2016 6:05 am Wow. Oldies, you have done such a wonderful job of making a beautiful home. And your pool.....and landscaping...fabulous. I bet their will be many hours and laughs spent in that pool. Well, we are ready - coral homes are the ones that are still getting ready lol We went with Leisure Pools. First we fancied Compass because of their cleaning system but they were too much dearer. Leisure Pools were good and bad. We love the finished product, but:- They had difficulty getting it in to our site because of power lines and trees. They cracked the top and it sat on the footpath for a week while the fixed it. It was only a little crack above the waterline, not structural. When they were craning it in they touched the house roof (no damage) and caught the pool on the trees, but got it in ok. All the workers were lovely guys but the coping tiling leaves a lot to be desired. Some tiles stick out further than others. Some grout is cracking. We had to ask for them to resilicone underneath the tiles. The bullnose tiles for around the spa were chopped up and used elsewhere leaving sharpish corners around the spa. Also, they took weeks longer than they were supposed to, but after Coral we were used to that! Once finished, the pool is fine, looks good and we love it, particularly the large shallow kiddy step (which they call a tanning ledge) Re: Oldies Coral Homes Manhattan design in Camira Qld 628Dec 08, 2016 6:44 am Becs Coral Wow. Oldies, you have done such a wonderful job of making a beautiful home. And your pool.....and landscaping...fabulous. I bet their will be many hours and laughs spent in that pool. Thanks Becs Coral. I am hoping we can afford a pool - still waiting on our final numbers. We have had a look at leisure pools and like them. Fibreglass is so much easier than concrete. We had to wait weeks to use it. We had concrete in our last house and it took much longer to warm up at the beginning of summer and after rain. (It also took longer to cool down, though.) Your Cloncurry is going to be a beautiful house. I love those ranchstyle homes but most blocks just aren't wide enough unless you choose acreage. I have built four times now, on 1 1/4acres, 1 1/4 acres, 1/2 acre and now 1/4 acre so we are downsizing a bit. We've neglected the forum for quite a while because we've been doing the landscaping. It takes it out of us oldies in our sixties! You'll get yours done in no time , you young whippersnappers! (Unless, of course, you plan to make it as outstanding as the inside of your home. That may take you a while) Re: Oldies Coral Homes Manhattan design in Camira Qld 637Dec 08, 2016 8:24 am OMG Oldies! Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13718 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1681 |
