Scared the crap out of me lol we are actually on full pressure but I hate the town water so hoping to set it up like trickle feed though. We have 2 tanks now one trickle fed and other rainwater. only ever use the town water if we need to top up the other tank. Do you know if you absolutely 'have' to plumb into the house as I really didn't want to for the reasons you mentioned ... We looked at the display homes out there. Very beautiful area! We chose to go through oracle were building at flagstone rise about 10 mins away from use I wish we could have gone with acerage so jealous! Will def be our next plan in about 5 years time! Grrr I'll look into those pump systems you recommended as I am worried about pumping it to the '2' houses as always thanks for you help x Don't quote me on this, but I believe you don't have to hook up at all, but you still have to pay for the basic water supply service, i.e. they hook up a meter, and the meter does not register anything. At worst, you may have to hook up your kitchen sink and one toilet to town water, and have the rest on your tanks. You will need to let your builder know your plans, particulary before slab goes down so plumbing can be appropriately configured. Our last quarter town water consumption here was 3 kilolitres of water, the rest was from our tank. If you have any questions on water tanks and stuff, please feel free to ask.
