I will be building a Marcoola 32 at the start of next year also, cannot wait! I just wanted to ask a question to all who are building with coral: At quote/contract stage, was anyone able to haggle on the list price given by their sales person at all or even able to get any extras/variations added in at no charge? Just wondering if we should try getting our price down as we havent even attempted to yet! Any shared experiences would be hugely appreciated, thank so much! Wondering if anyone else tried to negotiate a cheaper price? ? Re: Building our family home coral marcoola 30 687Sep 08, 2016 8:36 am kikihome Hi Exodus, Thank you for your reply, We have chosen a few of the deals/packages already but we were wondering if theres room to bargain further with the pricing, beyond those. Wondering if anyone else tried to negotiate a cheaper price? 😊 Not really. The sales consultant will give you an estimate on the various prices to their knowledge at the time. And then everything is sent of the t be estimators at head office for final pricing with your contract. The only time we managed to negotiate was when we had been ask I g our sc about the type of driveway we wanted (cove finished) and it kept appearing in our contract as broom swept, and he said that they call you t broom swept but they actually do cove. Some time down the track, we got a variation of about $800 to upgrade to cove finish. We weren't happy so contacted the sc, where he apologised for the misunderstanding and got that waived.
