Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 21, 2014 2:29 pm ]Me and my partner just bought our beautiful patch of dirt
We're so excited and pumped to start planning, building and actually have our own home! We've settled on Bimberry Circuit in Clyde, Our premium block is right on the park front (no neighbours across from us: HUGE plus) Both of us being in the construction industry everyone figured we'd be pretty laid back about this build - and we would be if we were doing it ourselves! But it is just as stressful if not more because we both know so much and have so many questions, as I guess the novice builder wouldnt even think to ask! Because of that we have selected a smaller volume builder to build our home "Botanic Homes" have so far pleased us on every aspect. Showing us a house at frame stage, showing us their friends houses they build and even checking our land previous to us buying it and all the plans to make sure there'd be no un-expected costs! All done by one of the directors of the company too. So really really good start. Anyway, Id love to hear from any future neighbours and in the mean time I'll be posting lots of pictures of land and plans until we start building. (land doesn't title til march next year, call me crazy but I'm planning ahead and I'm sure it'll come really fast!) Any set out dates for the beginning of construction? yeah we are so happy with the park frontage! We will start construction around march as soon as the land titles feels like ages away but I know it's going to sneak up really fast! I thought I was going to have my land settling in January, and all of a sudden it's already end of May and I am still at floor plan stage. Always great to have enough time to get all the preliminary work sorted before construction.
