Dealing with Commodore was so stressful, they tried to push me to sign the pre-contract very hard and even tried to convince me to pay the deposit before I could get the final quote. I waitted for one month to get the final quote, and another couple weeks for draft drawings which needed to be amended a lot. It was so frustrating for me to get the drawing amended. Sales rep kept saying that she worked so hard for me to get the drawing department done amendments as I haven't paid the deposit, my drawings was not the priority for them. She said I could do changes at pre-start. She put so much pressures on me. I felt uncomfortable and stressed out, so moved to CL. CL's Sale Rep is ok. No stress, everything was done efficiently. I have changed the floor plan again and again, but he kept doing amendments until we were satisfied. Our floor plan is based on "The Bourdain". Anyway, it was a surprise last Thursday. I received a call from SS, he told me that the slab has been done. I did not know if it is a good news or bad news, as I have purchased an inspection package, and the inspector is supposed to be there prior to the slab poured. Last email I received on 10/03 was from prestart officer who told me that they needed 2-3 weeks to finish material purchase, earth work and slab down. She said the client liaison officer would contact me about it, but everything has happened so fast. Liaison officer hasn't contacted me yet as she is away. They said she would contact me next monday. If the SS hasn't called me, I was thinking to go to the site during the Easter. I would be stressed out to see there is a slab and would think if someone else's house has been built on my land. We have just finished slab down inspection. The inspector went to the site and stayed about half hour. (He was supposed to be there before slab down, as the builder did not inform us, we missed out). And gave us a 15 pages report which there is only one page really about the inspection result, others are terms, codes and definitions. We thought he would give us discount as he didn't do the full inspectin, but he even tried to rip us off by changing the quoted price. We met him at home expo, his wife quoted us 4 inspections=$1800, a package. Now he changed and said $1800 was only for 3 inspections. 3*$600 plus final inspection PCI. Fortunately, we have his wife's written evidence. I sent it to him, but he insists that the quote was 1800 for 3 inspections. Is he blind? We wouldn't have accepted the quote if his wife hadn't quoted what she wrote down for us. He even said that their stanndard price for an inspection is of $650, which means he has already dicounted us. But his wife told us that it was of $510, what a difference. I asked him about the details of next two inspections, no reply, he just keeps asking for a payment. We tried to figure out what is their price at all, so my friend enquired a quote again, they said $550 per inspection, $2000 for 4 inspections. Can you tell what happened? They don't indicate the price very clearly and changes all the time. I don't trust him and won't continue the service anymore and prepare to go to consumer protection. I can PM you their details, if anyone needs. We have asked an expert who teaches Architecture in UWA. He doesn't recommend us to do inspections for new houses. We thought we were willing to pay an inspector as long as he could do the job well not tried to rip off us. We should have done more research, not rush to hire such guy. WADCM is produced by Western Power and seeks to detail how a customer’s installation is connected to the distribution network. An amendment has been introduced. The amendment deals principally with 'Metering equipment location'. 'Metering equipment location' is found in WADCM Section 11 where various clauses have been amended / added / deleted - refer Clauses 11.5 to 11.12.5. The Metering equipment must not be more than 30m route length from the Point of Supply where the consumer mains cable is unprotected (electrically). The position where our meter box installed is far from the green dome over 30m. We have to pay extra $952 to install a pole if we want to keep the same position. We have a nib wall at the front of the garage for the meter box and costed $1700 extra. Now more? And what it looks like? Same as the builder's one? It is ugly in the front of the house. I thought I should have put other rooms facing the front but bedrooms. The orientation of my land is same as yours, so I thought it would be better to put two bedrooms facing more East than facing SW. As my land is a corner block as well, now I'm concerning about noises and privacy. Its mainly for a service charge and sometimes sewerage. We paid about $80 for two months.
