Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 18, 2016 5:45 pm I have been following a few threads here for so long, and finally I got the time and energy to start a post of my own.
My block is in Doubleview WA, it is a 683sqm block with a handy ROW. So we decided to sort out the finance and build two houses. I am not a fan of the housing industry in Australia, so many pitfalls, like the forever rising strata fees, most newly developed homes with glorious outside but rubbish inside. I know it is going to take forever to find a home with a design I like, and even if I found it, who knows what kind of well-hidden nasty problems I might end up with. Building seems a very good option, but after some research on the internet, I concluded that there was no perfect builder, just like no perfect house. Each and every builder, you can find some bad reviews on the internet. I guess the best we can do here is talk to some builders, choose one that feels right, have some faith and hope for the best. That is what I am doing with Switch Homes. Here are some basics: Block Demensions: 15.1m X 22.5m Approx.
