Fix ups and clean ups. Handover due today http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtop ... 31&t=82452 Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 362Oct 07, 2016 10:56 am teganandjosh Thank you! I know there was sooooo much bad paint work and I think there still might be. If I pick a lot of stuff up.. I'm wondering if I hold back payment until done.. just means no hand over until later again? Most things might be Ok, but feel like once I've paid them it may be a pain to get them back to fix stuff. I'm nervous! http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtop ... 31&t=82452 Did your ss advise you that if you're not happy, not to hand over the cheque? Mine did, but I suppose it depends on the issues at hand how major or minor they are. I was happy to make the final payment, only because mine were all small. I think if its stuff like painting (which will still make the home habitable) then they would expect payment. If its issues like firstbuild92 - i think that was her username - then definitely hold off payment if its structural etc. Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 363Oct 07, 2016 11:13 am Nothing hugely major I don't think. It's habitable.. just want perfect finishes as that's what I thought we were paying for. But I'm at they point where I just want my house. It's has all gone along really fast but the past few weeks have been super slow. Handover was ment to be September 19th I think. http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtop ... 31&t=82452 Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 364Oct 07, 2016 11:38 am teganandjosh Nothing hugely major I don't think. As I suspected.. lots of issues. * Water damage in powder room from leak in basin * portico not done properly, not flush on side. * few dodged paint problems * scratches in 2 windows * dodged weather seal in window * rough looking silicone around basins and gaps too * another chip in bath * all window and door tracks are very dirty and heaps of paint marks * bricks have paint on then also havi bf them acid washed * big holes/blow outs in Mortar. Will be fixed when bricks washed * Scratched paint on front of gutter That's off the top of my head right now. Powder room was a bit of a major thing. Most other things seemed ok I guess. He said hand over won't be for at least another week. Really sucks we couldn't handover today but there was no way I was handing the money over yet. http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtop ... 31&t=82452 Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 367Oct 07, 2016 5:47 pm That is terrible. Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 368Oct 07, 2016 6:54 pm I definitely would not have handed over the money for those problems. I really hope they get all that fixed within the week. Too bad if you had organised removelists etc. Weren't they meant to fix the problems, not create more! I'm also hoping they fix it asap. SS seemed a little annoyed. I had already asked about the portico and if they found any water damage in that Cupboard. Could have saved some time getting it done earlier. Painters seem to have done a poor job.. I think this will be the 4th time they're coming back! I've had to rearranged quite a few trades and appointments already as handover was ment to be last month. Definitely dragging out now, which sucks cause SS had the build flying along. Think contact date is 1st November? So they only have around 3.5 weeks left. I didn't get any photos this time. Just hope it gets sorted fast. Seems to think the powder room cabinet will take a while.. we also have tiles to ceiling outside of coral that I hope they won't damage, as they were imported. Silly question but do they clean the outside of the houses? Looks like yours has been completely missed. I agree with BB though it has a beautiful street presence! Yes very disappointing. Yeah they're suppose to clean all the windows and doors especially.. and the paint on the bricks is just a joke. It's a shame they did not take pride in cleanliness. MrsJM I'd be livid!! Are they replacing your scratches stacker door track? How disgusting that they try and hand that over! I have faith that it will all be rectified before 1 November I'm really not sure why they thought it was OK to hand the house over how it looked. Must think I'm just a silly girl. I didn't get to point out the scratch to him... I think he was already a bit annoyed at everything we had pointed out that we wanted amended. Thinking I might get it listed to be fixed if it's not already done when next handover comes around? Unless I email him our lease runs out in the rental 1 Nov, contract date is actually 10 Nov :/ my mistake. so I'm hoping the get it all done asap. http://www.forum.homeone.com.au/viewtop ... 31&t=82452 Cheers, Tegan (& Josh) Marcoola 30 with CORAL HOMES 2016 SANDSTONE LAKES, NINGI Queensland Our Build Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82452 Re: CORAL homes 1st build, Marcoola 30 QLD 379Oct 11, 2016 11:20 pm START of week 18 Handover delayed again.
