The end of May will be about the 10 months from when your slab was poured which is about the time frame specified in the Rawson contacts. Was your SS flexible in anything you forgot to ask for or specify during the contract/tender/admin stages (if you had any of course) Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 102Mar 09, 2017 6:05 am anonymous- Glad to hear the bricks were what you choose. Was your SS flexible in anything you forgot to ask for or specify during the contract/tender/admin stages (if you had any of course) Our SS was pretty good during visit, most of our issues have been simply due to our incompetant brick layer who managed to damage bricks, forgot to brick a nib on alfresco and delayed our roof tiling by about 4 weeks Other good news * Lower eaves are nearly finished * Insultaion has been installed * Gyprock should be this week if rain holds off Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 105Apr 05, 2017 8:00 pm alisonandrew great to see the progress being made for your home....good luck...we are building a Huntley 31 at Kellyville, the brickwork process has been slow.....did you face the same issue...we have had the roof installed, fascia and guttering done but funnily some brickwork on the second floor is still left Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 106Apr 07, 2017 9:50 pm ikm80 @alisonandrew great to see the progress being made for your home....good luck...we are building a Huntley 31 at Kellyville, the brickwork process has been slow.....did you face the same issue...we have had the roof installed, fascia and guttering done but funnily some brickwork on the second floor is still left Hi Ikm Yeah our brickwork was really slow for a variety of reasons and despite tiling and cabinetry now installed the brickwork is still going. Was frustrating at first but we are just glad their is still progress Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 108Apr 17, 2017 8:16 pm alisonandrew - thanks for replying and great to see progress on your front.....we have been told cladding will be done within the next two weeks so fingers crossed......has your SS advised by when you will be getting the handover? After a few times asking he did say it should be completed 4 - 6 weeks late May early June. Looking back through your timeline of construction, it looks like Rawson will meet their 42 week timeframe, particularly when you consider the Christmas and Easter periods. Your block looked pretty flat? Why did they need to cut and drop garage by .5m? How much did it cost? How elevated was the front part of you land from st level? Ours is almost 1m high from road and then flattened out towards the back. We are also looking at greenway estate. Do you remember what was the soil class and salinity like? Hi Faykis Slight incline i believe the cut out was around half a meter and land is around 1 meter above street level. We did need some drop edge beams across front of house but nothing significant dollar wise.
