Commenting to follow your build Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 5Mar 18, 2016 9:35 pm Contracts exchange on monday, Found out we arent in bush fire affected zone so save 5k on site costs Have a tender presentation on 6th April Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 6Mar 19, 2016 5:09 am That's awesome Alison! The 6th isn't too far away! Woohoo for not needing to upgrade to bushfire! I think my BAL is either 40 or FZ so hefty upgrade for me Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 7Apr 06, 2016 4:48 pm Hey Alison How did the tender presentation go? We have ours in a couple of weeks so wondering what questions we need to ask or what to look out for.. Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 8Apr 06, 2016 6:17 pm adamsmithers55 Hey Alison How did the tender presentation go? We have ours in a couple of weeks so wondering what questions we need to ask or what to look out for.. was a good experience (obviously cant compare to other builders as this was our first) no pressure our presenter went through * Land and all site costs fee's required eg. where we had to cut and fill * Due to half meter cut in double garage we have to get a double step into house and at front door * Went through Lux inclusions and bonus Package available atm * added some extra money into build for Electrical, Cabinetry and some miscellaneous expenses that may or may not occur Presenter also explained some thing we need to do / decide on prior to submitting to council * Landscapping for front and rear of house and retaining walls to either side where cutting in had to be done Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 9Apr 07, 2016 12:45 pm Thanks alisonandrew. We really like the design but have concerns about the upstairs share bathroom. Thinking of combining the bath and toilet or having a wash basin in the toilet somehow. Are you guys changing upstairs? Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 10Apr 07, 2016 2:34 pm no we decided to leave upstairs alone as far as design goes, we were contemplating making the WIR to master a little smaller and pushing the wall back into upstairs rumpus a little to make room for bathtub in ensuite. decided storage space was better only slight change we made was downstairs to rumpus. Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 11Apr 07, 2016 5:47 pm Congratulations, the Huntley looks gorgeous. We really wanted this design too but our block is too narrow but we've seen Rawson twice and liked their approach. Following your build! Added a 1200mm door Added sound proofing to theatre/rumpus Also selected locations of the included niches Went with a lowered ceiling to kitchen and a bulkhead to theater. Also confirmed the external color scheme One step closer to seeing some action on site Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 17Jun 20, 2016 8:35 pm been a while but finally up to our internal selections appointment and Electrical appointment with Rawson. Looks like we will need around an extra 8K in electrical (luckily we already allowed for that) 36 downlights extra double and quad power points TV Points Oyster lights to Bedrooms and External Lights Cat6 Data Points to Study / Theatre / Rumpus this building caper is rather costly :/ Re: Building a Huntley 30 with Rawson @Colebee (Stone Cutter 18Jun 20, 2016 8:38 pm Yes the electrical apt can get rather costly quite quickly.
