Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Is anyone building with PERRY HOMES in QLD or Northern NSW?? 101Oct 15, 2009 7:59 pm Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can give me some info. Wife & I are building with Perry Homes in B/berg, Everything has been going as expected but one thing that we have received some weird comments about is us setting up a electricity account for the builders on our block before the build starts, Is this normal with these guys to get the client to do this as most people even Ergon have said its usually something that the builder does. Thanks R Re: Is anyone building with PERRY HOMES in QLD or Northern NSW?? 102Oct 18, 2009 10:21 am We supply all the electricity and potable water too, but we are building rural. I'm not sure if that makes any differences in regard to those buidling in suburbs with access to town water and electricity? Re: Is anyone building with PERRY HOMES in QLD or Northern NSW?? 103Nov 12, 2009 8:50 am If you think thats bad, wait until you have "owner supplied items" installed, I paid for installation during signing of contract and they still hit me up for thousands during construction (they threatened to walk of the site if i didnt pay up) Update: Defects still not completed. Management keeps promising to talk about overcharging and doesnt call back. Going to BSA and ACCC (had enough now) Re: Is anyone building with PERRY HOMES in QLD or Northern NSW?? 104Dec 21, 2009 8:42 am Hi Kyiee81 I am also interested in getting a quote for exposed aggregate driveway for our new home at warner lakes. Could you please PM me the details of the guy whom you had your driveway done with? Thanks in advance. Even though we are only up to Slab prep stage, nearly all going perfect. Pre Slab plumbing & drainage all completed. Our Sales guy,(Tony) fantastic & could not be more helpfull. Building Supervisor, We only met last week, extremely helpfull & open to discuss everything up front. I have to say, if you cross your T's & dot your I's you should have no problems. Get EVERYTHING in wrting as we have & EVERTHING goes well. (So far) Please feel free to track our blog, or contact us for referral. I have been involved in building 4 homes prior to this home, & I must say, have met none more professional than Perry Homes Australia Pty ltd. One thing that needs work is colour selection. We had the colour selection contact down the bay side. Extremely poor service..... We will keep updating this forum with information. For the record, we have neighbours building a STYLE MASTER Home. We are having more problems with their builder on our site. Concretor dumped left over concrete on our site. (approx 2 cubic meters), would not come back to remove, & then used our land for storage of Roof tiles whilst we are trying to have excavator level site. Now thats frustrating NEVER BUILD A STYLE MASTER in my LIFE. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER.... Their office advised us this was not their problem it was their sub contractor's. Who is building this bloody home?????. Caspers Mate...... http://casperssanctuary.blogspot.com/ Re: 108Aug 29, 2010 9:20 pm Annelies Hi everyone Just discovered this topic via the search machine as it is already a bit older. I was already looking for some reading about Perry Homes as we recently asked for a quote from them on an extended Wattle. Does all this communication trouble go for the Sunshine Coast as well. Is Tweed Heads Office also covering this area? We talked to Tony in Kawana. Any experiences there you want to share with me? Not sure if you have gone further with this enquirey, sorry about this late reply, but Tony at Kawana fantastic!!!!! Extremely helpfull. Hope this helps. Re: Is anyone building with PERRY HOMES in QLD or Northern N 109Aug 30, 2010 6:28 pm An update from Friday, Our house slab is now ready to pour, Boxed & prepared to day. Concrete pour tomorrow. Once again today, discussed an item with the building supervisor, & no problems to be taken care of . FOC. Good Job Perry Homes. http://casperssanctuary.blogspot.com/ Re: Is anyone building with PERRY HOMES in QLD or Northern N 112Aug 31, 2010 11:29 am Hi, The house across the road from my parents burnt down last year. It has taken 1 year almost to the day but Perry Homes has just started building on it. The bricking is starting and it doesnt look too bad. 1 big problem though, from the minute the frame went up we went over for a look and saw they had put the laundry plumbing right in the middle of the main bedroom!!! Now that the bricking has started they have only just cut the slab up and fixed it! Bet someone was in trouble for that stuff up! Good Luck! If so what is it? Did anyone receive tenders with a certain price that got you to pay the first deposit then receive a formal tender with an increased price and (it wasn’t site costs) the only excuse being they mistakenly thought you were in another zone? Hi, I am wondering if anyone has built with Montgomery in the last few years on the Northern Beaches? I don't see the see them around, as I would love to ask how happy… 0 3196 Hi, I contracted a Builder to do a Garage to Bedroom + ensuite conversion (Class 1a), the Builder engaged the Certifier and Engineer and received BDA from the Certifier… 0 5032 If so what were the "special circumstances" under which it was granted?
