Hope everyone is having some progress with their contracts/build Really Nice layout, did you install pendants by dennis as part of the build or organized it yourself after after moving in ? Hi, we did it after handover.
Hi Lenz, congrats. That’s so exciting. You must be looking forward to the frame going up. We are doing really well. Almost finished with landscaping, etc. We are still waiting on DFH to come back to fix everything. We haven’t had the best of luck with our build. Hope yours will run a lot more smoothly
Thanks. Fingers crossed x Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 603Jul 25, 2018 4:41 pm Wild that is absolutely way cheaper, would make half of it, Thanks for the Tip, Since you have been through with the experience,In your opinion when construction reaches to the electrical stage then would it worth speaking to electrician directly to have em installed or to have a chat with the site supervisor instead. We got permission from the site supervisor to do extra work and he notified us when the electrician was going to be on site so we could ask them directly Building with Dennis Family Homes Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 605Jul 25, 2018 7:20 pm Wild thanks for the details, will follow the same process, hopefully site supervisor would be cooperative. No probs, happy to help. Building with Dennis Family Homes Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 606Aug 21, 2018 9:16 am Hi Mathjic, I have just joined the forum. We are looking at building the Murchison 353 in regional Victoria and I was interested in your comment on bottled gas. In our current home (Melbourne) we have a Heat and Glow gas fire and would like one in our new place but thought the cost of bottled gas would be prohibitive. What are you planning to use on bottled gas and have you any figures available? Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 607Oct 20, 2018 1:06 pm Can’t believe this post is still alive! I’m back and guess what? We are building again!! With DFH but this time a ranch style home! Macedon 322/DFH 2016!! Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 612Feb 18, 2019 7:12 pm I won't build with DFH again but i like another of their designs, same as mine but larger and with a butlers pantry. Windsor 28/DFH 2016. Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 614Feb 18, 2019 9:17 pm I forgot all about this thread! We've just moved into our DFH home. Was hard going - almost three years since we paid our initial deposit but we did do a KDR so thats always a bit trickier! The actual build has been overall fantastic and we are extremely happy with our new home. Would I recommend DFH - the team I dealt with? Yes! Re: Building with Dennis Family Homes 615Feb 18, 2019 9:21 pm I had super bad start with Metricon, wasted 7 months n walked away from contract stage. Now deposited last month with DFH to build hartley 28, Fingers crossed as few of their reviews are so horrible.
