I have been posting to other fellow Metricon home builders' threads and thought that it's time for me to have my own thread to share my building experience with everyone. Really happy to be part of this forum and look forward to all your feedback, comments and suggestions. Below is our timeline to date. May 2015 - Tender July/August 2015 - Contract September 2015 - Plans lodged with CDC October 2015 - CDC Approval received November 2015 - Colour & electrical selections finalised & signed off final plans December 2015 - Slab (just made it before Christmas shut down) January 2016 - Frames February 2016 - Roof March 2016 - Bricks Bricks just started this week. I've been just checking whether the bricks are lined up straight and whether the mortar between the bricks look even. For these two points, I think they're ok. Is there anything else I should be looking for? From the pics that I have posted above, does it look ok? Any pics of your internal colour selections? Your bricks will come up a treat once they acid wash them. Orpheus is right the gap is for movement, they will run a bead of silicon down the gap to seal it.
