Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 05, 2016 11:50 pm Hi, I am planning to get a pool built after Metricon has done the site cut. I've had a read of Metricon's guidelines and interested to know if anyone has had experience with this. My concerns are as follows: 1) The pool needs a fully engineered and OHS compliant pool cover before Metricon take back the site. Apparently the hardcover that my pool builder was to provide me isn't compliant even though it was engineered. I had a quote from another company and it was 6K for 12 months hire so I'm interested to know if anyone else knows of a company who would do it for much cheaper. 2) Water needs to be pumped out if it fills up more than 300mm. Problem is that with Fibreglass pools, the pool company fills it up for structural integrity. Has anyone built a fibreglass pool during a Metricon build, if so did they force you to pump out the water? Thanks.
