Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 03, 2016 11:53 am Hi All, I am new to this forum. I have purchased a block of land in Modbury area, South Australia. I am currently dealing with Statesman Homes and Fairmont Homes sales person. To be honest with you all, Statesman offer me good price, every time I said to them Fairmont offer me this and that, They always ready to compete them and offer me good price. My question is if I didn't ask him He wouldn't give me and keep in his pocket. On the other hand Fairmont seems like a more realistic. I am not sure which way I have to go good price and fair price which give me peace of mind and good quality. Please share your thoughts. Jignesh Re: Looking for good building contractor 2Mar 03, 2016 12:39 pm Hey Jignesh, I am currently in the admin phase with Fairmont. We didn't look at statesman but did compare with a bespoke builder and Rivergum homes. Fairmont won hands down on bang for buck. Something to keep in mind that even after allowing a hefty allowance for footings And other things in our quotation, we have increased more than 10% since then. So make sure that anything you can think of, get it included in your quote so that you have a realistic starting point. Don't expect regular communication with Fairmont, they promise that they will but they don't and reading a few other threads here will give you the same impression. Good luck! Hi team, Im looking for a second hand sd4b monitor preferably white. 0 8923 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6883 Hi, I am looking into doing a KDR in Melbourne and am contemplating using Kialla Homes. I am looking for feedback on them from others who have built with them. 0 13442 |
