Not much to update...House is good but still issues have not been dealt with. Having trouble with the Chromagen Hot water system. We had to turn the alarm off. Chromagen office said the house should never have been handed over if the alarm was going off. Our SS ignored it and said he would follow it up but, as per usual, did not. We still have hot water but system not running as efficient as it should. There was a bit of a blame game but finally Coral gave the go ahead to the Chromagen to fix it. Could be a big job if an idiot tradie put a nail through one of the sensor wires (which Is what they suspect). It will need to be replaced through the brick cavity... Tiles have not been fixed and the more you look the more there are. Just going through with Fair Trade...see how we go. Got measured for some curtains...aargh!!! Sorry to hear that your tiles issue hasn't been fixed if fair trading can't help you need to call the home building advocacy service that's if fair trading has no resolution. I got a call back yesterday and he mentioned that there have been a fair few complaints for this builders no surprise there. They will help you if you donunfortunately need to go to tribunal or lodge a claim through your builders warranty and it's free. Just in case. I just hope they resolve it for you. Thank you Ryalls I think you will be ok if you have an independent inspector. There are so many things we did not 'see' in our rush through. Now that you don't have the "getting in before Christmas" pressure, go through EVERYTHING with a fine tooth comb. Check the mortar, grout, ALL your lights, turn everything on and off including taps/hot water etc. your flooring, look at your walls against the light (have a torch) and make sure everything is written down and above all...TAKE YOUR TIME and don't believe a blinking word that comes out of your SS mouth!!!!!! I have noticed that work has been done at your place finally! Hope it is all progressing well and you'll make PCI soon. Yes there has been stuff done in the Christmas break they started the painting finally it's only been happening for the last 2 months lol. We will for sure be taking our time we had a building inspector come with us on our last walk through to check if the stage was completed as they wanted their progress claim. It wasn't so no money paid. We will have him again come through with us on PCI when ever that will be.We already know of things that are not right and have told our site supervisor but has done nothing about it. It's like they are too scared to get their trades back to fix things. This was an expensive build so we expect to get what we paid for so that's quality! And quality is what we will get.
