Why on earth would they use my handheld to vacuum piles of grout dust???? And there are also chipped tiles that will need to be redone. How do we know this? Our CCTV under the entry alcove caught them We have been living in dust for a week. So much for it being finished and cleaned last Friday! We don't know when the cleaners are coming. Does the freaking circus ever end? Oh hun I feel your pain! We still have no idea when we will be finished yet! We called National building manager yesterday to see what’s happening we don’t even know if they are replacing our stairs. I’m not agreeing to anything else that’s for sure. It’s 62 weeks for us this week 😬 Re: Coral Homes - Modified Bronte 903May 16, 2018 5:12 pm Corallake Tiling apparently done...they grouted today and screwed up my new Dyson in the process. Does the freaking circus ever end? Omg!!! Our toilet almost did the same! I caught him with our v8 Dyson in his hand and when I stopped him and asked what he was doing, he was going to use it to suck up broken tiles and grout dust! When I said mate, this is a $900 machine and it isn’t made to deal with this commercial **** he kept arguing the point. You better make them replace it or I will! Xx Yeah they tried to deny it but it was on CCTV. Felt sorry for the maintenance guy because he had to ring up Beaumont's who now are responsible for the tilers. The fact is he bought them a new wet and dry Vax on the first day of tiling to use. Ding bats. Anyway they said they are replacing the Dyson. Cleaner has done a halfhearted job so he has to come back. Now for the rest of the list. Scaffold was supposed to have been put up today but no sign yet. Plumber needs to reconnect gas to cooker. Kind of sick of eating takeaway now. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Bronte 906May 16, 2018 11:41 pm Hey CL, Great to see you have handover, hope the issues get sorted soon and you can move on. House looks fantastic btw Re: Coral Homes - Modified Bronte 907Jul 12, 2018 1:46 pm corallake Congrats on the handover. I saw your pictures of the garage floor and they look great. Did you wash the garage floor with a hose as part of the prep? I'm thinking of doing the same thing to the garage floor but not sure about washing the floor and getting the skirting boards, plasterboard and wall studs wet. Re: Coral Homes - Modified Bronte 908Jul 12, 2018 5:02 pm reaver @corallake Congrats on the handover. I saw your pictures of the garage floor and they look great. Hey reaver Our floors were pretty clean but we still hosed it off. Obviously don't let water sit and soak into the skirting. We did follow the suggestions from Rust-Oleum and used the concrete etch primer before the floor coating. Make sure you give the floor a chance to dry out before you proceed to the next step. Just follow the instructions. It really comes up well. Oil spills and cr@p cleans off so easily and it looks professional. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck.
