I had the same thing happen, they corniced my one and then several days later the guys came back and did the bulkhead. Btw your place looking awesome. All the best. I'm in two minds about whether to make them come and do my bulkhead above the laundry or not... I think I will You must be getting close to tiling...?? Is it worth the messing around? If it looks odd then go ahead but you know the drill... No tiling yet. The architraves aren't even finished. They've ripped off the gyprock and the cornice off from the top of the stairs because it doesn't line up. The wall in the spare room has to be re-gyprocked because they left out the bracing and it had a massive bulge. Jobs are so slow and the trades leave things unfinished and don't seem to come back to fix them like the roof is still not completed, it's been months... The SS doesn't really keep us in the loop and nor does he seem to chase the out-standing work to be done. It's getting me down and I'm starting to resent the whole thing. Seem like the finish line is still so far away. https://www.homeone.com.au/member/bribiebell Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13745 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 1768 Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74688 |
