Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 27, 2016 8:28 am Hi all, So we are FINALLY going to start building next month (short story - signed with builder 2 years ago, had a 1.5yr delay on our land title and have since incurred 3 price rises with the builder). Anyway, I just wanted to know if your builder provisioned for anything that you were able to get refunded back to you once your build was completed? For example, our builder has provisioned $300 in our site costs to clean the site before they start building - I intend on getting this back bc I'll make sure our site is free on dumped rubbish before they start. Would love to make a list... Re: What costs did you get back from your builder at the end 2Feb 27, 2016 12:33 pm Is that what they mean by site clean? Our site clean was going through after all the stormwater plumbing was done and cleaning all excess sand off the slab, flattening and levelling the block, giving a tidy and smooth surface to start bricking from. It wasn't actually anything to do with rubbish, but a bit of a tidy up after making a mess putting the slab down. We have paid a kerb bond to the shire, and a footpath reinstatement bond (we don't have a footpath on our side ) so will get both of them back Our Custom Dale Alcock build in the Village at Wellard https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=78620 Re: What costs did you get back from your builder at the end 3Feb 28, 2016 5:23 pm Hmmmm ours is different, it says removal of debris, rubbish etc, left on site before site start. Also, we didn't pay a bond when we paid for our asset protection. It differs from council to council Re: What costs did you get back from your builder at the end 4Feb 28, 2016 8:54 pm Hi PolkaDots, $300 is a lot of money. If your land just recently settled, there shouldn't be any rubbish or vegetation. Take a photo of the site before site scrap and contact your admin if it's 'clean'. If they still decide to charge then make sure you ask for receipt of the work carried out. We mowed our site to make sure there was no high grass and rubbish. It took us 2 hours, half a tank of petrol, and $80 tips charge. Hope it help Minimum overhang into gutter must be 50mm, turn down tool should not split the sheet. it seems wrong tool for the profile was used, the flashing cannot slope back.
