Obviously, they are having great difficulty attracting a brickie, because everything inside (including architraves and internal doors) have been completed before the brickworks have even started outside. Now, this, to us, has been a comedy of errors from the beginning. The roof tilers haven't finished the job, so several heavy showers in the SE Qld region have seen the BS panicking about the plasterboard already in place inside the house. Also, plumbers have had to 1) jackhammer the toilet waste drain into the slab in the correct position as the pipes placed in the slab were only an inch from the wall of the toilet and 2) the slab for the gas bottles was placed in the incorrect position. A couple of guys with a saw cut off the slab in the incorrect position and reattached it (with BondCrete) in the correct position). There has also been evidence of multiple leaks from the roof through the plasterboard on the roof and the walls. Just another reason we are so glad we didn't go with our other choice and build with these builders. OMG TM Hi Taylormade, My partner and I have been in a similar situation as you and have watched our next door neighbours house go up over the past 11 months and if it was me I would have been crying It is a very well known company (mentioned on this website) that promote the highest quality in everything and that if you build with them you will be the envy of all your friends... A few things we noticed was the slab for their water tank wasn't made big enough and needed an add on piece; the windows were installed crooked; the front door is not square; the kitchen laminate on the back of the breakfast bar is in two pieces and the colours don't match; they installed the wrong coloured guttering. They also used our block of land as site access; got bogged and left holes 1 metre deep; used our land to mix concrete and left bags of cement, rio, big pieces of roofing iron etc all over land and not to mention emptied their remaining concrete on our land so we were left with a massive area of concrete on our block. It took us several months to get the issues rectified. We were puzzled because we are building on an acre and you would think site access wouldn't be an issue...I think it was more laziness by the company and/or subbies... ...the list goes on... I have never understood when we are all parting with the best part of $300 000 that we as customers are pretty low on the food chain! We have heard good things on the whole about our builder...so we have our fingers crossed. Like you we were thinking of building with them due to the WOW factor, but then started hearing some really bad stories and went elsewhere quick smart!!!! Our next door neighbour told us they were threatening to take them to A Current Affair and that was the only thing that got them moving! I am beginning to realise that building can be so rewarding but also full of heartache if you are unlucky with your choice in builder. Kylie handover happened 15/6/09...love living on an acre but still so much to do! You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections. The difference between the two comes down to inspecting the building so it's safe and… 3 18063 Hello everyone, I have a question regarding moving a chandelier after it has been mounted.
