Do they have a time limit? I'm in Melbourne, don't know if that makes any difference. Pretty much up to you. Most people like to make changes after first initial deposit, once all your internal appointments are done and your satisfied with your plans they request signing shortly after this. Be Aware that delays can happen during early stages (mistakes in plans) etc so time could be longer. I'm sure it's the same for every builder. Us 6 months due to many errors and add-ons we made, took that long to be fully satisfied with our contract. Oh and be mindful they charge for delays as well. So keep within the time frame they give you. Our land titles June so we basically had to finalise our contract before March, they go by the date you first paid. Do you have to get to a certain point before they start charging you? Ours was 9 months started June 15 and they charged us from March 31st - June 31 2016. They add this to your total cost on final contract. End if March is when we go for bank loan because our land titles June.
