I walked through my new build over the weekend and discovered every cornice has no gap filler, the skirting boards all have gaps where they are meant to join, cracks on the walls, horrible paint work where the paint has already been worn off or maybe it wasn't painted thick enough in the first place....and the list goes on and on..... Im more concerned about these cracks though. Can anyone tell me how do i know if its just normal to have this happen then the builder will do a final fix (although i was told it was finished and the only touch up they have marked is one small paint patch NOTHING ELSE )/ the builder and tradies have done a HORRIBLE job and the absolute bare minimum/ or due to movement of the land etc this is expected?
& who do i hire to inspect the property to tell me if its a structural/foundation problem or just poor workmanship that can be fixed??????????
