Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 04, 2016 12:21 pm Hi All, I've spent many hours trawling over the fantastic projects and advice posted in the forums. It is with great excitement that we will be kicking off our own build and what better way to start then be given a deadline for colour choice We know the look we are trying to achieve but not sure of the exact colorbond colour names. I would appreciate if anyone could ID the following colours as displayed on the link provided below. Roof / flashing colour: Gutter colour: Corrugated wall colour: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-38.363 ... 312!8i6656 It looks like it could be a mixture of any of the following colours: shale grey, windspray, monument, woodland grey. Thanks in advance. Tony Re: Help needed to ID colours 5Feb 04, 2016 1:44 pm Don't forget also that colours shown on a computer screen may be a lot different from what the real world colour is of the actual house. Throw in what time of day the photo was taken, shadows from the eaves and reflected colours off nearby objects like roofs and walls etc and you can be thrown easily. Is this place near yours ? If it is. call past and see if there are any offcuts of the roofing laying around and compare them with your samples. Or ask one of the tradies working there ??? Stewie Re: Help needed to ID colours 6Feb 04, 2016 1:50 pm Thanks Stewie D, It's a house that we noticed when we were at Rosebud for a holiday weekend. The house would be well and truly finished by now. I'm thinking I might be able to pop a note with my contact details in their letter box via friends and family that travel that way. Re: Help needed to ID colours 7Feb 04, 2016 2:51 pm I might be getting closer. This house has windspray gutter and fascia with shale grey roof sheets. To me it looks like the reverse of the link in my first post. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZQ8y0T6d2Gk/V ... 14262c.jpg Re: Help needed to ID colours 8Feb 04, 2016 3:34 pm Hi turbopsi The colours in the first link look to me like: Roof/Flashing: Windspray Gutter: Windspray Fascia: Surfmist Wall: Woodland Grey With my build I have a Windspray Roof/Flashing/Barge Capping with Surfmist Gutter and Fascia. Thanks Surfmist is a really light grey it just depends on the light and surrounding colours. I find Windspray also lightens up a lot in the sunlight but can look a lot darker on overcast days. I have pics but no idea how to post them - long time forum stalker first time poster lol. Can you PM an email address and I'll send you some pics? Re: Help needed to ID colours 12Feb 04, 2016 4:35 pm turbopsi Your pretty much the same as me.. I've been on here for ages and just made my first few posts.
