Went to see the block yesterday morning and saw the SLAB .. I assumed builders don't work on the weekends... surprise !
I found this blue stuff all over the slab.. anyone know what is it?

No wait, it is actually slows down the curing process. The point of the spray is so you don't have to keep wetting the concrete every hour to stop it from cracking.
So it doesn't speed the curing but actually slows it down.
Wish they'd done that with our slab cause that was poured o. The 42 degree day

Welcome to the Vale, Aveley and congrats on slab!
Exciting times ahead! We moved into the neighbourhood in Oct 2015 and are loving it.
Look forward to following your build.

Sorry for ignoring my thread over the last few weeks its been bit crazy. I didn't get a chance to visit the property in the mornings and when I reach after work been really dark.
Our brickwork has been bit slow over the last few weeks due to the weather. I got an email from CLO confirming the plate height is expected to be completed this week.

Wow it's starting to look like a real house now that walls are up
We got our independent inspection booked for Friday. CLO confirmed the Roof framework is scheduled for 15th June. Hopefully everything will be moving quicker once the roof is up.

Plate Height complete !!!
We got our independent inspection done on friday. The inspector identified few issues that need to be sorted but nothing too major.
Looks like the bricklayer forgot roof straps in some places. Apparently it has to be spaced at 1.2m apart. Also missing flashings in some place which need to sorted. Glad we are doing the independent inspection done at all stages.

Lot happened since my last post.. Roof framework, Roof cover, Gutters, Electrical & Plumbing chasing complete.
Our independent inspector highlighted few issues during the plate height and Roof cover inspection. But CH site supervisor has been great and he worked with our inspector to address everything that was highlighted in the report. We even got photos from the supervisor to say when it was done. So far I am happy with how CH has been handling any issues that gets raised
Now that the roof cover is done we are hoping to have grey float and render to start soon.

Just discovered your thread now. I've been neglecting following other people's builds but hey here I am. Lol.
Love your floor plan.
That's pretty good of CH playing nice with your inspector and getting things done
Look forward to seeing your house come along.
