We are going to build on a corner block (with no street fence) and currently have the powder room on the secondary side. However, ours would not be large enough to move the vanities. What change did they require? Is it the location of the window or its height that is a problem? I hope we dont have the same issue. BTW my favourite VN food is Bun Thit Nuong. Corner block, lake view, custom design Re: Opinions on ensuite/WIR plans? 19Jul 22, 2008 8:22 pm I'm with you Toast, not a fan of these open ensuites: I've been married for 22 years but still prefer to do some things by myself.
I prefer DH to do some things by himself too Condensation on clothes if the ensuite is open to the WIR will also be a problem. Another problem will be noise from the bathroom if one of you is sleeping in and the other gets up early - hairdryers, electric shavers etc. This may not effect everyone but DH and I both being shift workers it would definetly be a problem for us. Thuy, I agree, these pedantic estate requirements can be a pain, I have read on here about some weird rules. This must be one of the weirdest, I mean what does it matter if windows are not equal distance apart??? Must be so frustrating when house plan is fine for you in original design but then has to be changed because of red tape. Re: Opinions on ensuite/WIR plans? 20Jul 22, 2008 8:38 pm tell me about it Helyn, drives me insane!! originally fiancee wanted to but the block next door, but i insisted on the corner block, cos it just looked nicer...boy was that a big mistake!!! and to make it worse, fiancee wont let me live the decision down!! >.<
Scribe, basically our original plans had the ensuite window above the full mirror (above the vanity unit). From the outside of the house, this is what the window looked like (the vertical window at the very top)...Sorry about the pic, its the only one i could find on my comp. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ So, our developers wanted the front side and the side side of the house to be "consistent". So we had to change to comply....I'm not sure about your plans, considering its a double story, you mite have more leeway....just make sure u read through your estates design guidelines... hehehe and yes, i agree with everyone,...i don't particularly want to see/hear my fiancee doing his business either what a way to start our marriage!!! hahahahah hehe Scribe, my fav is pho.....mum cooks the best Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6144 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11837 |
