They are saying the measurements were messed up and they only included one set of the stairs. The installer arrived and was surprised but what we expected to be done.
The guy who had to give me the bad news was so apologetic.
To be honest, I need it done and am so swamped at work that I really don't have the energy to argue. Siggghhhh!

It's amazing how non-"downstairs" your kitchen seems (except when viewed looking down from the stairs that is) just because it gets plenty of light thanks to it's orientation - are you going to get shaded out by neighbours/fencing with where it sits at all? The window near the dining / laundry will get blocked eventually but I am hoping that it doesn't make too much difference to the overall feel. We didn't have any time off and it is showing. We still haven't managed to give the house a proper clean.
